JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE was coy about his reported romance with JESSICA BIEL when he appeared on U.S. talk show OPRAH on Wednesday (19Sep07) - but revealed the actress does have a "lovely" smell.
Show host Oprah Winfrey quizzed the pop star about his love life, but Timberlake just smiled, before confessing he was no longer single.
He told Winfrey, "I’m dating someone," but refused to name his girlfriend, even though he has been spotted kissing and cuddling Biel, who has been his constant companion since the spring (07).
But he did add, "All I can tell you is she smells lovely," and, "I get pretty romantic around her." The Sexy Back hitmaker also told Oprah he sings to his new sweetheart and they keep in contact with an iChat webcam whenever they’re apart.
He added, "Technology is a wonderful thing sometimes. I find that to be really cool, when you can actually see someone’s face… It just makes you feel closer." Timberlake and Biel were first romantically linked at a Golden Globe Awards party in January (07). Biel then flew to the Sundance Film Festival in Utah to join the pop star.
Timberlake took Biel and his mother out for a meal on Sunday night (16Sep07).
The couple was spotted returning to the singer’s Beverly Hills hotel together.

JESSICA ALBA has lost her perfectly sexy look after chipping a tooth during a kissing scene in her new movie.
The actress admits she and Good Luck Chuck co-star Dane Cook went too far with one energetic love scene and they both needed dentistry work.
She explains, "I chipped my front tooth doing a kiss with Dane and he chipped his bottom tooth.
"We were doing this comedic Mr & Mrs Smith love scene, and we were slamming into walls and breaking things and tumbling over couches and stuff.
"At one point, he slammed my head into a picture frame and, while my head was smacking into the wall and breaking the picture, his teeth slammed into my teeth.
"Now I have a bond on my tooth and when I take it off I look like Jim Carrey in Dumb and Dumber." But Alba insists she won’t be rushing to get the problem permanently fixed: "I can definitely take the bond off of my tooth and throw people off a bit
. I get to take this thing off and be somebody else for a little while
. It’s like a disguise."

BRITNEY SPEARS has been given a public boost by her teenage sweetheart JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE.
As the troubled pop star fights for custody of her two young sons and attempts to salvage her career amid allegations of eating disorders and drug use, her famous ex has come to her defence in a new TV interview.
Timberlake appeared on Wednesday’s (19Sep07) Oprah show in America, where he agreed to discuss something he rarely talks about - his ex-girlfriend.
The awkward pop singer, choosing his words carefully, said, "I haven’t spoken to her in years. I mean, there’s no ill will - I have nothing but love for her.
"We dated each other at a time… We were teenagers, you know?" Asked to comment on Spears’ public problems, her ex added, "I think she’s a great person, and I don’t know her as well as I did. What I do know about her is she has a huge heart."

JENNIFER GARNER has signed up to play MATTHEW McCONAUGHEY’s ghostly girlfriend in a new film that was originally scheduled to star her husband BEN AFFLECK.
Affleck pulled out of Ghosts of Girlfriends Past to concentrate on his directing career and McConaughey took over. Garner will play a girlfriend who comes back to haunt McConaughey’s character at a wedding.
It’s the second role McConaughey has taken on as a replacement to another actor in recent weeks - he’ll take over troubled Owen Wilson’s role in Ben Stiller comedy Tropic Thunder.
Wilson was forced to pull out of the project after allegedly attempting suicide last month (Aug07).

A source tells In Touch Weekly magazine, "He’s travelling through town, and one of Paris’ friends met him and introduced them. He’s really shy.

The movie hunk, who shares three adopted children with his partner Angelina Jolie, admits he had no idea of his co-star’s plans.

LATEST: Comedienne WHOOPI GOLDBERG wasn’t laughing when she took BARRY MANILOW to task for snubbing her new talk show on Wednesday (19Sep07).
The Ghost star, who became a fresh face on long-running daytime show The View at the beginning of the month (04Sep07), went public with her own thoughts about the Manilow controversy, sending the message to the crooner, "If you don’t sit with one, you sit with none." The Mandy singer pulled out of a Tuesday (18Sep07) performance on the show because he refused to share the same stage as Goldberg’s right-wing co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck, calling her "dangerous and offensive".
But producers of The View insist they told Manilow he couldn’t appear on the show if he wanted to make demands about who was interviewing him.
Goldberg won applause from the studio audience when she scolded Manilow, adding, "We’ve had liberals, we’ve had Republicans - we service everybody!"

Former FRASIER star KELSEY GRAMMER has renewed his love for the high seas after buying a small sailboat - for quirky SHAKESPEARE recitals.
The actor became a fan of sailing in his teens but he was forced to put his passion on hold when he and his wife Camille started planning a family.
But now she has started hitting the waves with Grammer.
He says, "For a few years I didn’t sail. O.J. SIMPSON will plead not guilty to armed robbery, kidnapping and assault charges when he’s arraigned in court in Las Vegas next month (Oct07).
The Naked Gun star was released from custody on bail early on Wednesday (19Sep07) after a brief court hearing and his attorney Yale Galanter revealed he’d be fighting for Simpson’s innocence during a press conference outside the courthouse.
Galanter told reporters his client would not be conducting any interviews before returning to court for a further hearing on 17 October (07).
The Florida-based attorney said, "I think he’s (Simpson) extremely relieved… This has been a very harrowing experience for him and he’s been in custody for three days.
"He just wants to get home and be with his family and kids." Galanter also commended prosecutors for setting bail at a "reasonable" $125,000 (£62,500), adding, "Despite his past and public opinion about his past he is not a flight risk and he is not a danger to the community." Simpson is charged with 10 felony counts and one misdemeanour count following an alleged armed sports memorabilia raid on a hotel suite in the Palace Station Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas last week (13Sep07).

Mexican supergroup MANA are set to make Los Angeles history on Thursday (20Sep07) when the rockers become only the second act to sell out four consecutive nights at the city’s fabled Staples Center.
Neil Diamond set the record in 2005, but Mana will become the first Latino act to perform four sold out concerts when they take to the stage to kickstart their North American tour.
The group members are superstars in South America, where they’ve sold more than 22 million albums during their 20-year career.

The BEASTIE BOYS are to revisit their instrumental album THE MIXUP by asking a host of celebrities like JARVIS COCKER, LILY ALLEN and M.I.A. to rework tracks and add vocals.
The album was released to lukewarm reviews in June (07) and rapper Adam ‘MCA’ Yauch hopes new lyrics will give the project a boost.
He tells Billboard.com, "We’re talking to some different artists who might do kinda like remixes and put vocals on it, so it wouldn’t be us doing vocals on it.
"It would be kind of like a different version of the album, with a bunch of people guesting on it."

Rapper CHAMILLIONAIRE has joined the hip-hop heavyweights who have cut the ‘n’ word from their lyrics - because he doesn’t want to put derogatory words into white fans’ mouths.
The Ridin’ Dirty hitmaker realised how explosive the controversial word could be when he saw an audience dotted with white kids yelling it at him.
He explains, "My DJ would try and be funny and he’d stop the song (Ridin’ Dirty) right when I say the ‘n’ word on the mixtape, and I’d hear the whole crowd say it. I’m like, ‘Wow!’ "I don’t wanna be teaching them how to say it, that’s not right, so this time around I don’t wanna be feel guilty, so I’m going to be taking it out… I’m not cursing and it’s not a big deal."

Rock supergroup LED ZEPPELIN are secretly planning a second reunion show in Northern Ireland, according to reports.
The three existing Stairway To Heaven rockers have reformed for a tribute to late Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun in London on 26 November (07) and they insist the performance will be a one-off.
But now reports out of Belfast, Northern Ireland suggest frontman Robert Plant is keen to return to the city’s Ulster Hall when the venue reopens in 2009.
The Ulster Hall became part of Led Zeppelin lore when the group first performed Stairway To Heaven there in 1971, according to local newspaper the Belfast Telegraph.

Rocker DAVID BOWIE has donated $10,000 (£5,000) to a legal fund set up to support six African-American teenagers caught up in a legal battle in Louisiana.
The Jena Six have been charged in an alleged attack on a white classmate and Bowie’s cash will help the teens’ families pay for their defence.
One of the six, Mychal Bell, is to be sentenced on second degree battery charges on Thursday (20Sep07).
The 17-year-old was found guilty of the charges against him by a six-member all-white jury in June (07), but the case was overturned because Bell was 16 at the time, and was incorrectly tried as an adult.
In a statement, Bowie says, "There is clearly a separate and unequal judicial process going on in the town of Jena.
"A donation to the Jena Six Legal Defense Fund is my small gesture, indicating my belief that a wrongful charge and sentence should be prevented." Bowie isn’t the only celebrity offering his support - Twista, Killer Mike and Hurricane Chris are among the hip-hop heavyweights who will perform at a fundraising awareness concert in Alabama on 29 September (07), and soul star Stevie Wonder has publicly condemned America’s media for ignoring the case.

The former Jam frontman has worked with Winehouse on a number of projects, and insists her huge talent outshines all the scandals involved with her private life.
He says, "She is one of my favourite all-time singers.
"I’ve been lucky enough to work with her - she is an amazing, great talent and, despite what all the papers say, she is a great role model for people and I don’t think the drugs and the drink and all that make a scrap of difference really.
