PARFITT PRAISES WIFE FOR LIFTING HIM OUT OF DEPRESSION
STATUS QUO rocker RICK PARFITT has praised his wife LYNDSAY WHITBURN for helping transform his life.
The star has admitted he was suffering from depression before he met the 42-year-old at his local gym - but is eternally grateful third wife Whitburn has helped turn his life around.
He says, "I was so low I’d wake up in the morning, switch on the telly and still find myself there at 3pm. I was lost.
"We took a chance and got married. In truth, we hardly know each other but you can’t get a more powerful feeling than real love. I started dressing smartly again." Parfitt and Whitburn wed in Gibraltar in 2006 after a brief courtship.
