The troubled Austin City Limits festival in Texas ended on a high note on Sunday (16Sep07) - with an onstage marriage proposal and a stunning headlining set from BOB DYLAN.
The weekend event started badly when a fire broke out on the Zilker Park site on Friday (14Sep07), leaving four people injured, two critically.
But, as the three-day festival closed, event officials confirmed all four fire victims were expected to recover from their injuries, with only one expected to stay in hospital this week.
Aside from the performances of acts like Bjork, Pete Yorn, Dylan, The Decemberists and Arcade Fire, the weekend highlight was a wedding proposal in the middle of cult folk-rockers Midlake’s set.
The Texas band welcomed their nervous fans onstage and watched as the guy got down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend. After she accepted, Midlake performed their hit Young Bride.
