McGREGOR RULES OUT TRAINSPOTTING SEQUEL
Actor EWAN McGREGOR has turned down the chance to return to his breakthrough role in a sequel to his hit film TRAINSPOTTING, because he refuses to discredit the movie with a "poor sequel".
The Scottish star launched his career with his portrayal of drug addict Renton in the 1996 film, but while his co-star Robert Carlyle and director Danny Boyle are willing to make follow-up to the Irvine Welsh novel - entitled Porn McGregor is firmly against the idea.
He says, "I’ve always said that I loved Trainspotting so much that it would be a terrible thing to damage it by making a poor sequel. People would forget the great movie Trainspotting was."
