KING STAGED ENGAGEMENT RING DASH
Model/actress JAIME KING staged a mad dash from FedEx truck to FedEx truck after fearing her engagement ring had been misplaced.
The pretty Sin City star helped husband-to-be Kyle Newman design her ring after he proposed to her in May (07), and waited patiently for the sparkler to arrive at their home.
But, thanks to a broken doorbell, King missed the delivery that was scheduled for the day before a romantic vacation and feared her one-of-a-kind bauble had been lost.
She tells InStyle Weddings magazine, "Somehow we missed the FedEx truck, and I freaked out. I wanted to go on the vacation engaged, with my ring! So I got in the car, and I stopped two FedEx trucks, saying, `Do you have my ring?’ "It was like a scene out of a romantic comedy, with me literally chasing down trucks!" King will wed Newman in the same park where they got engaged this autumn (07). The actress will wear a Calvin Klein gown on the big day.
