Country singer MINDY McCREADY has joined the list of jailed U.S. music stars after violating her probation on a 2004 prescription drug fraud charge.
The Ten Thousand Angels hitmaker has been sentenced to serve a year behind bars in Florida.
McCready, who only had a few more months left on probation when she was arrested in July (07) - following a domestic dispute between the singer and her mother, appeared in court on Friday (14Sep07), wearing an orange prison jumpsuit.

  • MYSTERY SURROUNDS O.J. SIMPSON ROBBERY INCIDENT

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:03 am

LATEST: Mystery surrounds the latest O.J. SIMPSON controversy after the sports star-turned-actor was caught up in an alleged sports memorabilia robbery in Las Vegas on Thursday night (13Sep07).
Simpson has been named a suspect in the hotel break-in and police confirm the victim, who has identified The Naked Gun star as a member of the gang who raided his suite, reported weapons were used.
The incident took place late on Thursday at the Palace Station Hotel & Casino.
Simpson has insisted it was part of a "sting" operation to recover sports memorabilia that belonged to him.
In a press conference held in Las Vegas minutes ago, Capt. James Dillon, who heads up the city’s Robbery & Homicide Bureau, revealed police responded to a call about "an armed robbery" at the hotel, adding, "The victim stated that one of the suspects involved in the robbery was O.J. Simpson." Capt. Dillon confirmed that "the items that were taken were various sports-related products," adding police are still attempting to recover what was allegedly stolen.
He stated, "We did make early contact… with Mr. Simpson and Mr. Simpson is co-operating with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department during this investigation.
"He is not restricted in any form, he can leave (Las Vegas)… He is not in custody… No one has been charged… No one is in custody at this time." Capt. Dillon also revealed that police officials are also on the hunt for "additional subjects that were with Mr. Simpson when they were involved with whatever interaction occurred with the victim." Police are also reviewing surveillance videos and still images taken of the alleged crime.
Reports suggest Simpson was in Las Vegas to recover sports memorabilia after learning a group of collectors was planning to secretly sell the items without his permission. (KL/WN) WENN - BREAKING NEWS - 14 SEPTEMBER 2007 —————————————————————-
