Pop star JESSICA SIMPSON has laughed off reports she is to have a baby with her gay hairdresser Ken Paves, dismissing the rumours as false.
Rumours began circulating after U.S. magazine More published a story on Simpson’s desperation to become a mother. It went on to allege the singer-turned-actress was to undergo artificial insemination with Paves "in the next six months", because the stylist was also eager to have a child.
But Simpson’s representative, Lauren Auslander, tells gossip website TheCelebrityTruth.com: "There is no truth to this statement whatsoever."

BRITNEY SPEARS’ ex-husband is embarking on another controversial romance - with the woman who once appeared on a sex tape with Irish movie hunk COLIN FARRELL.
The rapper/dancer was spotted dirty dancing with Nicole Narain at two Hollywood hotspots on Thursday night (13Sep07).
The couple "bumped and grinded" on the dancefloor at top club Vice before moving on to a party at another trendy hang-out, Opera.
A bystander who spotted the couple "letting it all hang out" at Financially Hung’s Black Card Party at Vice says, "She was clearly making advances and he loved it.
"Federline kissed her on the cheek - but I think that was only because he knew all eyes were on him." The couple left the club separately but hooked up again at Opera early on Friday morning (14Sep07).

LATEST: TOM CRUISE has finally been given permission by the German government to film at a World War II memorial site in Berlin for his new movie, VALKYRIE.
In the movie - also known as Rubicon - Cruise plays war hero Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg, the soldier who led an unsuccessful plot in 1944 to assassinate Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler.
Director Bryan Singer had previously been banned from filming at the Bendlerblock, the site of von Stauffenberg’s execution, because officials did not want the "dignity of the place" to be violated.
But on Friday (14Sep07), Germany’s ministry of defence, Franz Josef Jung, reversed the decision, citing the movie’s positive portrayal of the country for the change of heart.
Jung’s spokesperson, Thomas Raabe, said that Valkyrie underlines the fact that "barbarism did not win, but rather a democratic Germany finally arose." United Artists, the production company behind the film, expressed their "extreme gratitude" to the Ministry of Defence for the turnaround, pledging to "take special care to respect its dignity and keep our activities there within the guidelines laid down by the government."

LATEST: BEN AFFLECK’s feature film directorial debut has been shelved indefinitely in the U.K. for fear the movie’s plot will upset the family of missing British girl MADELEINE McCANN.
The four-year-old was abducted from a hotel room in Portugal in May (07) while her parents dined nearby.
Affleck’s film, which was scheduled for a Christmas (07) release, features a similar storyline - about a missing four-year-old girl.
Ironically, the abducted youth in the film is also a Brit called Madeleine (O’Brien), who bears a physical resemblance to McCann.
A spokesman for the film’s British distributors, Miramax Films, says, "We are sensitive to the depth of feeling surrounding the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.
"We have been closely following the case and have decided to delay the release of the film in the U.K." No new release date has been announced. Gone Baby Gone’s scheduled gala screening at the upcoming London Film Festival, which was to have been attended by Affleck, has also been scrapped.
Affleck addressed the issue at the Deauville Film Festival in France last week (ends07Sep07), stating, "We are acutely aware of the situation. We have a greater concern for that than the release of our film, which is just a commercial matter, whereas this is a matter of life or death."

BRITNEY SPEARS is in talks to appear at the Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday (16Sep07) - just one week after her poor performance at the MTV Video Music Awards, according to reports.
The troubled pop star took to the stage at the Las Vegas awards ceremony on 9 September (07) to perform her new song, Gimme More - but her set was panned by critics and celebrities alike.
And the 25-year-old is now looking to get her reputation and career back on track - by addressing her lacklustre MTV comeback at the Primetime Emmys.
Spears is said to be "in negotiations" with American TV network Fox to put in an appearance on the show, although nothing has been agreed just yet.
A source at Fox tells Usmagazine.com, "The idea is to have her come on and apologise for the VMAs. She’s weighing the offer." Another source close to Spears adds, "I can’t say this is 100 per cent not true. All I can say is that the Emmy people aren’t dealing with her record company, her manager or her agents at William Morris. So if she is doing anything for the Emmys then it’s not going through the official channels." The 59th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards will be broadcast live from Los Angeles on Sunday.

Actress CATE BLANCHETT has likened British royal QUEEN ELIZABETH I to the late DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES.

The American Psycho star admits he got so comfortable talking with the twang, he found it difficult to revert to his native English accent.
He says, "I’m in a in a very schizophrenic position now where I feel as natural speaking American as I do English.

LATEST: British comedy star CHRIS LANGHAM has been sentenced to 10 months in jail after he was convicted on 15 counts of child pornography last month (Aug07).
The 58-year-old was found guilty on all charges of making indecent images of a child, following the police discovery of explicit films on his home computer.
Langham maintained his innocence throughout the trial, claiming the internet downloads were part of his research for BBC TV drama Help.
But his claims were thrown out by the jury in August and he was remanded in custody at Elmey Prison on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent, England until sentencing.
The fallen TV star returned to England’s Maidstone Crown Court on Friday (14Sep07), where he was told he would serve at least five months in prison.

Actor DAVID FAUSTINO is heading to the divorce courts - because his estranged wife wants an independent judge to decide on the division of assets.
The former Married With Children star, 33, filed for divorce from his wife Andrea in February (07), citing irreconcilable differences after two years of marriage.
But in papers submitted to Los Angeles County Superior Court on Tuesday (11Sep07), Mrs Faustino requested a trial to determine the division of property, attorney fees and the amount of spousal support she is eligible to receive.
Her attorney, Jennifer Stara, has refused to comment on her client’s reasons for the request.

U.S. chat show host ELLEN DeGENERES has been refused access to clips from her own former sitcom.
The comedienne asked ABC/Disney bosses to let her show a segment from her old programme, which featured a guest appearance from actress Mariska Hargitay and was told the footage was off limits.
DeGeneres, who hit the headlines a decade ago when she ‘came out’ as a lesbian on the sitcom and in real life, was hoping to use the clip to show Hargitay when the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star made her debut on the Ellen show on Friday (14Sep07).

LATEST: O.J. SIMPSON has been named a suspect in a Las Vegas casino break-in.
The sports star-turned-actor was questioned by police after the incident, which happened at the Palace Station Hotel & Casino on Thursday night (13Sep07) - and now he’s among the suspects in the ongoing investigation.
Hotel bosses reported sports memorabilia had been taken from one of the suites.
Speaking minutes ago, Simpson said, "I took memorabilia that belonged to me… but I didn’t break in." Las Vegas police officials will stage a press conference into the matter on Friday afternoon (14Sep07).
Simpson was famously acquitted in 1995 of the 1994 murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman, but was found liable for their deaths in a civil trial in 1996.
As a result, he was forced to auction off his sports trophies and collectibles to help pay off the $33.5 million (£16.75 million) awarded to the Goldman family.

Veteran rapper MASTER P went back to school on Thursday (07Sep07) - to pass on his wisdom and knowledge to young students.
The hip-hop star - real name Percy Miller - spent an hour at Monroe Middle School in North Carolina, after teacher Bonnie Mwanda invited him to speak to the 800 pupils and inspire them to work hard at their studies to help them succeed in later life.
Miller, who endured a tough childhood before going on to make a career in gangsta rap, warned the children of his own mistakes and promised a special surprise if they worked hard.
He said: "Y’all know I started off on the wrong track. The most important thing I’ve done with my life is clean my act up. I’m sorry for making the music that I made without thinking about y’all.
"If the principal tells me y’all have a good year, I’m going to bring (rapper son) Romeo back to do a concert."

LATEST: BRAD PITT and ANGELINA JOLIE have denied reports their adopted daughter ZAHARA is in need of hip surgery, insisting the news is "not true".
An article in U.S. magazine Star claimed the Mr and Mrs Smith stars would do "whatever it takes" to cure the two-year-old’s hip dysplasia, a congenital condition, which could affect her ability to walk in the future.
But Pitt’s publicist, Cindy Guagenti, says the reports are all false.
She tells gossip website TheCelebrityTruth.com, "It’s not true, and I told the magazine that printed it - but they chose to run it anyways." Jolie and Pitt adopted Zahara from Ethiopia in 2005.
