Supermodel NAOMI CAMPBELL has upset conservationists in Kenya over plans to bulldoze a turtle sanctuary and replace it with a hotel and casino.
The catwalk queen and former boyfriend, racing tycoon Flavio Briatore will wreck years of work to save endangered marine life at the Indian Ocean resort of Malindi if plans are given the go ahead, protestors have claimed.
A spokesman for the Malindi Marine Association says, "This would have a very negative effect on turtle nesting and destroy years of careful project work." But Campbell is hoping the proposals will be approved - because it will bring wealth to the African country.
She says, "You have fabulous beaches and people here are just amazingly nice.
But something needs to be put correct to attract big time investors."
