The WHITE STRIPES have cancelled their set at this weekend’s Austin City Music Festival, citing "medical reasons".
The duo, Jack and Meg White, were set to perform at the New Mexico concert on Saturday night (15Sep07) but have pulled out.
A statement read, "The White Stripes announced that they are cancelling their forthcoming tour due to health issues. Meg White is suffering from acute anxiety and is unable to travel at this time. "The White Stripes sincerely apologise to their fans: ‘We hate to let people down and are very sorry.’" The band’s next scheduled performance is 18 September in San Diego, California.
