The U.S. drama - Flockhart’s first show since Ally McBeal - was badly received when it first aired in 2006, and she agreed with the critics.

Actress JENNIFER HUDSON will join the cast of SEX AND THE CITY: THE MOVIE - as CARRIE BRADSHAW’s assistant, it has been reported.
The Dreamgirls star is in final negotiations to join Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon for the long-awaited movie of the sassy sex comedy, according to industry publication Variety.

The star, 38, believes spending so much time behind his drumkit in rock band Nirvana kept him isolated from advances in technology, much like members of the Amish community.

Jazz pianist JOE ZAWINUL has died at the age of 75.
The Austrian star passed away at his home in Vienna after losing his battle with skin cancer, according to reports.
Zawinul has had a successful career spanning more than 40 years, and enjoyed his biggest hit with Birdland’s Weather Report in 1977.
Austrian president, Heinz Fischer, led tributes to the "music ambassador", saying: "As a person and through his music, Joe Zawinul will remain unforgettable for us all."

Rapper TRICK DADDY has been arrested after a brawl at a strip club in Miami, Florida.
The Let’s Go star - real name Maurice Young - was taken into custody early on Tuesday morning (11Sep07) and charged with disorderly intoxication and resisting arrest, following the incident at Tootsie’s Lounge in Miami Gardens.
Young sustained minor injuries from the fight and was treated at Jackson Memorial hospital before spending time behind bars at a Broward County jail.
He is currently being held on $1,500 (£750) bail, according to Allhiphop.com.

PARIS HILTON has been slammed by an animal rights group for her growing brood of dogs - accusing her of encouraging others to buy pets as accessories.
Animal rights campaigners People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) believe Hilton’s recent acquisition of Jimi Hendrix (a Chihuahua) and Cinderella (a Yorkie) from a pet store in Beverly Hills are setting bad examples for young fans to follow.
And now PETA president Ingrid Newkirk has penned an open letter to the star, writing, "Perhaps you (Paris) and other vacuous stars need to tattoo ‘Don’t buy while pound pups die’ on your foreheads to remind each other of that home truth." Hilton’s latest purchases brings her total number of pets to a reported 25.

BRITNEY SPEARS flopped at the MTV Video Music Awards, because she turned up for rehearsals more than four hours late and was drinking alcohol, according to reports.
The singer disappointed fellow performers and audience members at the Las Vegas bash on Sunday (09Sep07) - her first major appearance in four years with a rendition of new single Gimme More that was described as "nervous" and "shaky".
An MTV source claims awards show bosses were furious when the singer missed her 1pm rehearsal on the day of the show.
The insider tells the New York Post’s gossip column PageSix, "She didn’t even get to Las Vegas until 4:30 p.m. It was ridiculous. The production people at MTV were freaking out. Nobody can tell Britney what to do anymore. No one can control her. She is a mess.
"She went to her hotel room and ordered a bunch of food and some frozen margaritas. She came down an hour later with a frozen margarita in her hand.
"The dance number was spectacular - without her. When the stand-in was rehearsing with the dancers, in the hours they were all waiting for her, it was amazing. Then Britney showed up and refused to do anything. The more complicated dance moves had to be erased because she couldn’t do them." The source claims Spears also chose her own underwear-inspired stage outfit, adding, "MTV wanted her to wear a corset outfit. It would have looked great and covered a lot of things up, but she hated it and didn’t think it was sexy enough."

THE HILLS HAVE EYES director ALEXANDRE AJA is to remake another cult horror film - PIRANAH.
The French filmmaker remade Wes Craven’s The Hills Have Eyes in 2005, and now wants to give 1978 horror film Piranah a modern retelling, reports Moviehole.net.
The film, which was directed by Joe Dante, was made to capitalise on the blockbusting success of Jaws, which was released three years prior (75).
Aja enjoyed critical success with his debut movie Haute Tension (Switchblade Romance) in 2003.

The sister of disgraced designer ANAND JON is holding a fashion show to support his battle against sexual assault charges.
Indian-born Jon has pleaded not guilty to 32 counts of sexual assault, including charges of rape, sexual battery, lewd acts on a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The alleged victims are aged between 14 and 23-years-old and are all linked to the fashion industry.

The HARRY POTTER films have woven its magic on the box office - it’s the most successful movie series ever.
The fantasy franchise has beaten spy franchise James Bond to the title, after it surpassed the $4.4 billion (£2.2 billion) made from the action thriller’s 22 outings.
