MORTENSEN TIPS CRONENBERG FOR OSCAR SUCCESS
LORD OF THE RINGS star VIGGO MORTENSEN has tipped cult director DAVID CRONENBERG for Oscar glory with his latest movie.
The actor stars in the director’s forthcoming gangster movie Eastern Promises - the second time the pair have worked together following A History Of Violence.
Mortensen was surprised the director wasn’t Oscar nominated for the 2005 thriller - but is convinced he will find success at next year’s ceremony (08).
He says, "It was like he vanished, as usual. Maybe this time."
