Actress MONIQUE COLEMAN was so thrilled to meet her heroine WHOOPI GOLDBERG on U.S. TV show THE VIEW on Friday (07Sep07), she burst into tears.
The emotional High School Musical star started crying almost immediately after she sat down next to the bemused comedienne-turned-chat show host, who tried to calm the 26-year-old with a hug.
Coleman told Goldberg, "I feel like a little girl right now because I never get starstruck and I’ve loved you since… (1986 movie) Jumpin’ Jack Flash.
I’ve watched your one woman show over and over." She jokingly added, "Can I come to your house for Thanksgiving?!"

Actress SPENCER GRAMMAR worries her father KELSEY’s former alcoholism leaves her predisposed to addiction.
The 23-year-old is cautious not to drink too much because of her Frasier star dad’s battle with the bottle.
She says, "He went to Betty Ford (rehab clinic) when I was 12, so of course I remember all that stuff. It was what we went through as a family, and we’re stronger for it.
"I’m very aware (of being predisposed to addiction). I drink, but I don’t get totally drunk all the time. I like having a glass of wine at dinner or scotch.
I love scotch."

SHARK actress JERI RYAN is pregnant with her second child.
The 39-year-old star, who has a 12-year-old son, Alex, from a previous relationship, wed French chef Christophe Emé in France’s Loire Valley in June.
Her spokesman David Lust tells People.com, "She is thrilled about the new addition and they are very, very happy. They are beyond excited and are beaming from ear to ear." Ryan is due to give birth in March 2008.

LATEST: Actress VANESSA HUDGENS is "embarrassed" by the nude photograph of her currently circulating online.
The 18-year-old’s candid mirror-image shots were intended for her boyfriend and Hairspray co-star Zac Efron’s eyes only - but an unknown third party stole the pictures and placed one on the internet.
Hudgens says in a statement: "I want to apologise to my fans, whose support and trust means the world to me.
"I am embarrassed over this situation and regret having ever taken these photos. I am thankful for the support of my family and friends."

Rockers THE GOSSIP have cancelled their U.S. tour because of a delay in releasing their upcoming live album.
The Beth Ditto-fronted band were due to start their American road trip in Seattle, Washington on 20 November (07).
However, because the currently untitled live album now won’t be released in November as was previously planned, The Gossip has also called off the tour.

Singer FERGIE is selling her gas-guzzling sports utility vehicle and has promised to donate all the proceeds to the Global Green USA organisation.
The Black Eyed Peas star has placed her 2005 Hummer H2 vehicle on auction website eBay, where bidding currently stands at $52,400 (£26,200).
The listing, which ends on 15 September (07), reads: "After performing at Live Earth and realising everyone has a role to play in protecting the environment, Fergie decided to sell her Hummer and donate all the proceeds to Global Green USA. Auction Cause is also donating carbon emission credits for 10 years to help offset the impact…
"This is Fergie’s actual vehicle, and will come with a letter of authenticity from Auction Cause, the premier auction management agency."

A bankruptcy judge has approved the sale of boy band svengali LOU PEARLMAN’s homes in Orlando, Florida and Atlantic City, New Jersey.
The 53-year-old former manager of Backstreet Boys and ‘N Sync lost his $7.1 million (£3.55 million) Orlando property and his $335,000 (£167,500) Atlantic City condominium in Thursday’s (06Sep07) ruling.
Pearlman is currently in jail after being indicted on three counts of bank fraud and separate counts of mail and wire fraud. At a July (07) hearing, a not guilty plea was submitted on his behalf after he refused to enter a plea.
A lawsuit filed in Florida alleges Pearlman manage to secure bank loans of $20 million (£10 million) using papers from a fictional accounting firm.
Several banks claim Pearlman collectively owes them over $120 million (£60 million), and Florida officials believe he defrauded over 1,000 investors out of more than $315 million (£157.5 million).
Pearlman faces 130 years in prison and a $3 million (£1.5 million) fine if convicted of all charges in the federal indictment.

Pregnant rapper FOXY BROWN has been sentenced to one year in jail by a New York City judge after violating her probation.
The hip-hop star - real name Inga Marchand - was reprimanded in state custody last month (Aug07) after lying to police about her name and address during a traffic stop and for allegedly attacking her neighbour with a Blackberry phone.
On 22 August (07), Judge Melissa Jackson ruled these incidents violated her probation stemming from a 2006 assault conviction and on Friday (07Sep07) the same judge sentenced the 31-year-old to a year behind bars.
If Marchand, who is three months pregnant, serves out her sentence, she will give birth in jail.
Marchand was sentenced to three years probation last year (06) after being found guilty of assaulting two manicurists in 2004.
The Candy star was also arrested in Florida in February (07) for battery and resisting arrest in a Pembroke Pines beauty store.
