PAVAROTTI HONOURED IN HOMETOWN

The theatre in LUCIANO PAVAROTTI’s Italian hometown will be renamed in his honour, following his death on Thursday (06Sep07).
Just hours after the tenor lost his battle with pancreatic cancer at the age of 71, Modena mayor Giorgio Pighi announced the tribute.
He said, "A great artist and a good man has left us. Luciano Pavarotti has made Modena shine in the world."
