DALTREY PREDICTS DOHERTY DEATH

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:18 pm

THE WHO legend ROGER DALTREY is convinced troubled British rocker PETE DOHERTY will die young.
Daltrey has lost two of his bandmates to drink and drug problems - drummer Keith Moon died in 1978 of an overdose on Clomethiazole, which he had been taking in a bid to wean himself off alcohol, while bassist John Entwistle died of a heart attack induced by cocaine in 2002.
Babyshambles frontman Doherty checked into rehab last month (Aug07) in a bid to kick his drug addiction, after several unsuccessful attempts over the last few years.
Despite Doherty’s rehab stay, Daltrey remains pessimistic about his chances of overcoming his drug demons.
He says, "There’s a bathroom floor waiting for him. He seems to have a death wish and that is so incredibly dull - to think that that’s a cool and exciting thing.
"I knew them all - Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, Brian Jones, Janis Joplin, too many to list - and it’s incredible to think they’ve all gone.
"I don’t think it’s any different today - it’s a person’s own personal journey. It’s down to the individual and always has been."
