DIDDLEY DISCHARGED FROM HOSPITAL
LATEST: Rock ‘n’ roll icon BO DIDDLEY has been released from hospital, after suffering a heart attack last month (Aug07).
The singer/songwriter was undergoing a hospital check-up following a stroke he suffered in May (07) when his heart failed in Gainesville’s North Florida Regional Medical Center.
But doctors insist his condition has improved and have discharged him from the facility.
Susan Clary, Diddley’s spokesperson, says, "With his health greatly improved, Diddley is happy to be home with his family and away from the hospital food." Diddley, 78, underwent surgery following the heart attack so doctors could improve blood flow to his heart via a stent. He was then transferred to the hospital’s intensive care unit, where he had been recovering before he was released.
