The catwalk queen believes the fame herself, Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington and Cindy Crawford enjoyed in the 1990s is at an end because advertisers now prefer using actresses and singers.
She says, "In order to become a supermodel one must be on all the covers all over the world at the same time so that people can recognise the girls. That is for now, not possible, not least because the advertising industry is very much taken nowadays by pop stars and actresses. Supermodels like we once were don’t exist anymore."

SIMON PEGG spent a whole day staring at co-star HANK AZARIA’s penis on the set of new movie RUN, FATBOY, RUN.
The actors play love rivals in the David Schwimmer-directed comedy. In one locker room scene, a naked Azaria shows off his muscles to Pegg.
The British star says, "He didn’t wear a modesty pouch during that scene - so I was face to face with little Hank for a long time." But Pegg insists he and The Simpson’s star Azaria bonded on the set - over their mutual love of comedy. He adds, "I’m a massive comedy geek. We both are and he had no problem doing Simpsons voices for me, all the time! He usually waited until the cameras were about to roll and then I would be laughing and ruin the shot."

LATEST: BILL MURRAY has broken his silence over his alleged drink driving arrest in Sweden last month (19Aug07), insisting he was only "dropping people off" home following a golf tournament.
Murray was stopped by police while driving a golf cart in downtown Stockholm.
Cops took a blood test after the actor refused a request for a breath test and are awaiting the results.
The Lost In Translation star insists he was just offering a lift home in the cart, which he had obtained following a pro-am golf tournament earlier in the day.
He says, "I was driven to a party celebrating the event in a golf cart. After the party, the people that drove in the golf cart did not wish to drive so I said ‘I can drive’ and I drove.
"I ended up stopping and dropping people off on the way like a bus. I had about six people in the thing and I dropped them off one at a time." Murray said he was approached by police when he dropped two friends off at a 7-Eleven convenience store.
He explains, "I didn’t know they had 7-Elevens in Stockholm, they (the police) just asked me to come over and assumed that I was drunk. I tried to explain to them that I was a golfer."

LATEST: MICHELLE WILLIAMS’ father LARRY has confirmed reports the actress has ended her three-year relationship with HEATH LEDGER.
Williams, 26, and Ledger, 28, met on the Canadian set of Brokeback Mountain in summer 2004 - a month after the Australian actor ended his two year relationship with Naomi Watts.
The couple welcomed a daughter Matilda in October 2005 and bought a home together in Brooklyn, New York.
After reports of their break-up emerged over the weekend (01-02Sep07), Larry Williams admits he received a phonecall from the actress’ mother Carla about the split.
Larry, 64, tells the Sydney Daily Telegraph, "We’ve known about their troubles for a while but it’s always a very difficult thing in life when these things happen.
"I know Heath and Michelle still care about each other deeply and are very committed to being great parents to their daughter.
"They are both very talented artists and they live with their hearts. I feel tremendously for her, and for him and hope they will find what they want in life.
"I have a great respect for Heath and I know he cares tremendously for Michelle." Larry is currently in Australia appealing a U.S. order to be extradited to face tax evasion charges.

Scottish singer KT TUNSTALL wowed shoppers in Glasgow, Scotland on Monday (03Sep07) with an impromptu street performance..
The musician, 32, played a small intimate set just outside the city’s Buchanan Galleries, raising $540 (£270) for music therapy charity Nordoff-Robbins.

THE VIEW frontman KYLE FALCONER has urged rock veterans LED ZEPPELIN to refrain from their rumoured reunion, because ROBERT PLANET "can’t sing any more".
The seventies band are rumoured to be reuniting 27 years after they split.
Scottish group The View were huge fans of the original Led Zeppelin music and want the Whole Lotta Love stars to stay in the past.
Falconer says, "It’s going to be s**t. The guy can’t sing any more at all. I saw him on Later…With Jools Holland (British music TV show) and it was the most awful screaming I’ve ever heard in my life. I’ll be avoiding it like the plague."

Australian pop star DANNII MINOGUE has condemned parents who push their children into the spotlight of the entertainment industry, because not everyone can handle the pressures of fame.
Minogue - a judge on the British TV talent show The X Factor - is so incensed by the bossy parents, she has come up with a nickname for them.

Music mogul RICK RUBIN is set to work with British talent show winner PAUL POTTS - in an effort to launch his singing career in the U.S.
Opera star Potts was crowned the winner of Britain’s Got Talent earlier this year (07) and has since enjoyed considerable success in the U.K. with his debut album One Chance entering the charts at number one.
And now Rubin, who is best known for his work with the Beastie Boys, Public Enemy and Slayer, is keen to show the Americans what they are missing out on.
He says, "I can’t look at his performance without crying. His voice is so beautiful. It totally blew my mind.
"In England, Paul Potts is already gigantic, but we are going to launch him in America.
"It’s the element of surprise that makes you interested in Paul - he looks so bland and then he sings so well."

LATEST: British girl group SUGABABES have slammed reports newest member AMELLE BERRABAH is leaving the band.
British newspaper The Sun reported that original member Keisha Buchanan and bandmate Heidi Range had started auditioning for a potential new member after tiring of Berrabah’s bad timekeeping.
Berrabah, 23, joined the Push The Button trio in November 2005 after the sudden departure of Mutya Buena.
The Sugababes are horrified by the claims, because they’re set to release their fifth studio album Change next month (Oct07) - the first disc featuring all of Berrabah’s vocals.
Buchanan says, "Things couldn’t be better in the band at the moment. Amelle, Heidi and I are a rock solid team." Berrabah enthuses, "I’m 110 per cent committed to Sugababes. It’s a dream come true. I can’t wait to perform the new album live."

KELLY OSBOURNE is shocked by the decision to airbrush her tattoos from publicity shots heralding her appearance in London stage show CHICAGO.

YOKO ONO has unveiled a lighthouse in Iceland in honour of her late husband JOHN LENNON.
The Peace Tower is due to be lit from the former Beatle’s birthday (09Oct07) to the anniversary of his death (09Dec) - but Ono is hoping the lighthouse will eventually run permanently.
Ono tells the New York Post, "This is an answered prayer because my first time in John’s house he talked about building a lighthouse. I never knew how to conceptualise that. I never believed this could be reality.
"Someday this tower will be lit 365 days for 24 hours, but for now I’m not pushing it. Forever is a long time." Lennon was shot dead in New York City aged 40 in 1980.

Celebrity photographer DAVID LaCHAPELLE has refused to work with MADONNA, GWEN STEFANI and CHRISTINA AGUILERA ever again, according to reports.
The acclaimed artist/filmmaker was scheduled to direct Madonna’s Hung Up video 2005 but withdrew the offer, calling her a "nasty and cruel" individual.
Now he has allegedly vowed not to team up with the trio of stars over a series of unnamed incidents.

Director JOHN TURTURRO has lavished praise on THE SOPRANOS actor JAMES GANDOLFINI - for his feminine charms.
Turturro was impressed by the star’s ability to get in touch with his womanly side in musical comedy Romance & Cigarettes, which is finally being released in the U.S. this week (07Sep07) - nearly two years after it was released internationally.

HEROES actress ALI LARTER put all her energy into undressing for an episode of the U.S television show in a bid to be the ‘world’s best stripper’.
Educating herself in lap-dancing clubs, Larter was not daunted by the prospect and spent "four hours a day for a whole week up and down a lap-dancer’s pole".

Oscar-winning actress SUSAN SARANDON has turned down the chance to reprise her role in a sequel to cult classic ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW.
The 61-year-old star, who played Janet Weiss in the original 1975 movie, was approached about a follow-up - but she reveals none of the original cast members, including Tim Curry and Christopher Biggins, were keen to revisit the musical.
She says, "There was at one time a sequel discussed with me - and they may have even done it, I’m not sure - but none of us (original cast members) were really interested." Sarandon’s daughter, Eva Amurri, was then offered her mom’s old role in a Rocky Horror Picture Show remake.
Sarandon tells the New York Daily News, "I asked her when I saw that in your paper, but why would anyone want to do a remake of a cult classic?"

The father of the critically injured passenger involved in HULK HOGAN’s son’s recent car crash has been arrested after attacking his family in hospital, according to reports.
The wrestler’s offspring Nick Bollea was driving a Toyota Supra at high speed when he lost control and struck a palm tree in Clearwater, Florida last month (26Aug07).
Bollea has since been released from hospital, while his fellow passenger John Graziano is in critical condition, reports TMZ.com.
Police were called to the hospital in St Petersburg on Thursday (30Aug07) after Graziano’s father Edward reportedly became violent with other members of his family. After the incident, Edward’s wife renewed a domestic violence injunction on him, which came after he was charged with domestic battery, battery on a law enforcement officer, and tampering with a witness in June (07).
He returned to the hospital on Friday (31Aug07), breaching the new injunction and was arrested a few hours later where he still remains behind bars.
