DIAMOND RIO SIGN TO CHRISTIAN LABEL
Country supergroup DIAMOND RIO have signed up to a Nashville, Tennessee Christian record label and have recorded an album of Christmas songs as their first release.
The band split from Arista Nashville last year (06) after enjoying a string of U.S. country number ones, and now they’ve signed a new deal at Word Records.
Guitarist Jimmy Olander says, "It is a very exciting time being in Diamond Rio right now. The folks at Word share with us not only a great passion for the music but an even greater passion for the message. This is a great fit." The group’s first release for their new label will be A Diamond Rio Christmas: The Star Still Shines.
