WES ANDERSON: ‘WILSON IS DOING WELL’
Recovering star OWEN WILSON is "doing very well", his close friend director WE ANDERSON has revealed.
Wilson returned to his home in Santa Monica, California on Sunday (2Sep07), six days after he was hospitalised following a reported suicide attempt.
The actor was due at the Venice Film Festival to publicise his and Anderson’s new movie The Darjeeling Limited.
Speaking from the event, Anderson says, "We all miss having him here very much right now.
"Obviously he’s been through quite a lot this week, but I can tell you that’s he doing very well and making us laugh, and when he’s ready he’s going to speak for himself much better than any of us could. He’s got a very good way with words." Wilson and Anderson were Oscar nominated in 2002 for their screenplay for The Royal Tenenbaums.
