HILL: ‘I WAS CAUGHT URINATING, NOT DEFECATING’
Actor JONAH HILL has had his first taste of fame in the wake of comedy SUPERBAD’s phenomenal success - a U.S. tabloid embellished the fact he was caught urinating in public by claiming he was caught defecating too.
The 23-year-old spent a night in jail last year (06) after he was found guilty of urinating in public in Hollywood.
But Hill insists one magazine’s claim he also defecated is untrue.
He says, "I was in one of the tabloid magazines that my mom showed me. They wrote: ‘Jonah Hill, Superbad star, was arrested for urinating and defecating in public.’ They just casually peppered that in there like it was not a big deal.
"What position would you have to be in to be urinating and defecating at the same time? It would be impossible.
"The point is this tabloid magazine just casually added it in there like it wouldn’t change my life. People read that and it’s different hearing someone peed in an alleyway and someone pooed in an alleyway." Hill adds, "I plead not guilty on the count of I didn’t feel it was an actual crime. I lost. But that’s not the point, it was a moral victory. I assumed it was frowned upon, not illegal."
