MENDES: ‘McAVOY IS THE NEW HOFFMAN’
Director SAM MENDES has lavished praise on Scottish actor JAMES McAVOY likening the star to screen legend DUSTIN HOFFMAN.
The filmmaker insists the Last King Of Scotland star is just as good as The Graduate icon was in his youth.
He says, "(McAvoy) has the charm of a young Dustin Hoffman and the emphatic everyman quality of a Matt Damon."
