DOUGLAS: ‘I WON’T RUN FOR PRESIDENT’
Hollywood star MICHAEL DOUGLAS has no plans to follow in the footsteps of actors ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER and RONALD REAGAN by running for public office.
The Basic Instinct actor, 62, who was named a United Nations Messenger of Peace in 1998, admits he has no desire to become involved in local government.
He adds "I’m so in awe and have such respect for publicly-elected officials.
I enjoy the diplomacy part of it rather than being a public servant.
"I enjoy lobbying on the issues that mean a lot to me."
