The Latino singer-and-actress is developing a series about five teenagers working as party planners for the Quinceañera - the celebration held when a girl turns 15 - called ‘The Amigas Sweet 15 Club’.
J.Lo will be an executive producer of the comedy which sees a group of friends using their talents as singers, artists and deejays to organise the perfect Quinceañera.
Each episode will feature a different girl asking the group to help plan her Sweet 15 party.
J.Lo is hoping the show will help showcase new Latina musical talent and launch the careers of budding young artists.
A series of Amigas Sweet 15 Club CDs is already being discussed, along with novels based on the show.
J.Lo will be heavily involved in all aspects of the production, though it isn’t known if she will appear in any of the episodes.
This isn’t the first time J.Lo has worked behind the camera.
She already produces MTV reality series ‘Dance Life’ and also starred in and produced ‘Shall We Dance’ and ‘El Cantante’.

The singer-and-actress admits she and husband Marc Anthony are desperate for children but doesn’t think they have any influence over when it will happen.
Jennifer - who was raised a Catholic - told Grazia magazine: ‘I love kids. I can’t wait to have a baby, believe me. I’m ready and so is Marc. We’re waiting for it to happen, but I guess it’ll happen when God wants it.’ Although she doesn’t have children of her own, the 38-year-old star is enjoying being a stepmother to Marc’s three children from two previous relationships - Ariana, 14, Cristian, six and four-year-old Ryan.
She revealed: ‘It’s a blessing having them as part of my family. I call them my three little angels.’ Jennifer has also credited Marc for making her a more rounded and mature individual.
The ‘I’m Real’ singer - who has been married twice before - said: ‘These past years I’ve gained maturity and stability, which have bought new perspectives into my life. My priorities have taken a different lead - I mean, Marc is the most important thing in my life. He’s my partner, he’s the love of my life. He makes me a better person and I think I do the same for him. He gives me a balance which is hard to describe.’

Giles Civil believes the troubled singer - who overdosed on an alleged cocktail of drugs, including heroin, earlier this month - and his son Blake Fielder-Civil are on the verge of killing themselves through drugs and fears if one of them dies the survivor may take their own life.
Giles told BBC Radio 5 Live: ‘They’re very close to the edge. If one dies through substance abuse, the other may commit suicide.’ His wife Georgette Fielder-Civil also fears Amy and Blake - who were pictured splattered in blood after a furious row last week - will die through drug abuse, saying: ‘I think they both need to get medical help before one of them, if not both of them, eventually dies.’ Giles has no doubt in his mind Amy, 23, and Blake, 26, are serious drug addicts and regularly use cocaine, crack cocaine and heroin. He claims the pair are still in denial about the severity of their addictions.
Giles explained: ‘Georgette and I both believe that they are drug addicts, and they don’t believe they are. I think they believe they are recreational users of drugs, and they are in control, but it seems to Georgette and I that this isn’t the case. ‘They are going through abject denial at the moment. They don’t see themselves as having a problem and they are quite aggressive in defence of themselves.’ Giles also revealed the couple took drugs at the Fielder-Civil family home after he and Georgette asked them to look after their two teenage sons, aged 13 and 14, while they went out.
He said: ‘We wanted them to know that we respect them, but never again. ‘They both took drugs in the other room but it was clear to the boys what was going on.
‘The boys know what’s going on, because we sit and talk about it at home as a family, but it’s very black and white to the boys. They think if Blake wants to give it up then he could.’ Meanwhile, Amy’s dad Mitch thinks his daughter and son-in-law - who have already quit rehab twice - will have to hit rock bottom before they decide to quit drugs.
Mitch said: ‘The only way out of this is not sectioning them, not locking them up. At some point they are going to reach rock bottom.’

The promo for ‘No U Hang Up’ featured a number of explicit sequences, including one scene where the ‘X Factor’ winner passionately embraces a stunning model in bed, while another shows him getting steamy with a beauty in a swimming pool.
Shayne’s video was sent to music TV channels last Friday (24.08.07) and was due to be added to playlists over the weekend, but was immediately axed from daytime playlists because of its graphic nature.
One TV executive, who was sent the promo in its entirety, revealed: ‘There was no way we would have been allowed to show the video in its original form - it was just too raunchy.
‘We had to ask the record company to cut the steamiest scenes so we would be able to air it.’ Shayne’s record label, Sony BMG, edited the video straight away and the new toned down version is due to be aired on music channels this week.
‘No U Hang Up’ is being released as a double A-side along with ‘If That’s OK With You’ and will be available from September 24.
Shayne’s new album is due to be released in November.

Bridget’s representative, Christina Papadopoulos, said: ‘She is thankful for a healthy baby and is excited about being a mother.’ The baby’s father, New England Patriots’ quarterback Tom Brady, was present for the birth despite their three-year relationship coming to an end last December.

Ronnie, 60, has been working furiously on his memoirs, entitled ‘Ronnie’, and the tome is due to be published on October 12.
Keith recently signed a £3.6 million deal with publishers Little, Brown and Company to pen his life story but the book is not expected to hit shops until 2010, and Keith isn’t happy his fellow guitarist beat him to the punch.
Ronnie told The Bookseller magazine: "We’ve just agreed to keep it at arm’s length from each other." The two wild musicians have had a string of bust-ups during their time in The Stones.
Keith once infamously held a knife to Ronnie’s throat during a drunken argument, and the pair also once held loaded guns to each other’s heads at the height of their drug-taking.
Ronnie’s autobiography is the first to be released by any members of the Rolling Stones and will detail his humble beginnings growing up on a working class council estate in London to becoming one of the most famous musicians in the world.

The father-in-law of troubled British singer AMY WINEHOUSE insists her relationship with his step-son BLAKE FIELDER-CIVIL will end in tragedy. DAVID HASSELHOFF’s ex-wife PAMELA BACH is fighting to postpone her forthcoming trial over a hit-and-run incident earlier this year (07).
The actress/singer - who divorced the Baywatch star last year (06) - filed papers in Los Angeles Superior Court appeals division on Tuesday (28Aug07) in an attempt to delay her trial, which is due to begin on Wednesday (29Aug07).
Bach allegedly reversed into a car in Hollywood on 22 January (07), but left as there appeared to be no damage to either vehicle. An onlooker took her license plate and reported the incident to the police.
But Mark Geragos, her lawyer, claims a postponement is necessary because of a processing error by a judge, which saw Bach booked on the charge despite not having been arrested.
Bach appeared in an L.A. court earlier this year (07) to plead not guilty to the charge, and was booked by the judge presiding over the case.
Geragos also wants the appeals division to reverse the judge’s decision.

Troubled actress LINDSAY LOHAN has agreed to let her estranged father MICHAEL pay her a visit in rehab, according to reports.
The Mean Girls star is currently seeking counselling at a Utah clinic, but has given the green light for a visit from her dad - with her mum Dina allegedly lifting a restraining order which was placed on her ex-husband Michael earlier this year (07).

British actor NICHOLAS HOULT has dropped out of school to focus on his burgeoning on-screen career.

FRANCIS FORD COPPOLA has travelled to Brazil to find a location for a planned tourist resort, according to reports.

U.S magazine Elle has pulled an interview with OWEN WILSON out of respect for the troubled star.
Wedding Crashers star Wilson was reportedly found by his brother Andrew at his home in Santa Monica, California on Sunday (26Aug07), with sources claiming he cut his wrists and took a number of pills.
He was taken by ambulance to the emergency room at Los Angeles’ St. John’s Hospital at midday on Sunday (26Aug07), and was later transferred to Cedars Sinai.
But Roberta Myers, Elle’s editor-in-chief, says an interview with Wilson conducted earlier this month (Aug07) will not appear in the magazine’s December Hollywood issue.
She explains, "Obviously the circumstances have changed significantly.
"When we were to be on the newsstand with the story, it would have been quite dated. Obviously, he’s not going to update it for us. Out of respect for his privacy and anything he is going through, we’re not going to run the piece."
