Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:06 pm

American comedian ROB SCHNEIDER has launched a scathing attack on Australian actor MICHAEL CATON, branding him "bitter".

Schneider writes, "It is true that you gave me a DVD copy of Strange Bedfellows but I must confess I’ve never watched it, as it is not on the same format as I have and it makes quite a nice drinks coaster for my ‘Victoria’s Bitters (sic)’.
"I know you recently made an early (and deserved) exit on Dancing with the Stars, still in my wildest imagination I never could see you as one who would ever become bitter."

RAMSAY SLAMS U.S. LAW

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:06 pm

British celebrity chef GORDON RAMSAY has shocked fans in the U.S. by mocking the country’s law system.
The star, who fronts reality TV show Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares, also took the opportunity to criticise restaurateur Martin Hyde, who filed a $1 million (£500,000) lawsuit in the U.S. District Court in New York against the star in June (07).
He says, "We were issued a writ because, God Bless America, if the toilet paper is not thick enough, and you come out with a rash on your ass (you’ll be sued). Hyde accused Ramsay of staging incidents on the series, which sees the chef makeover struggling eateries in one week. He alleged Ramsay falsely claimed fresh meat was spoiled and actors were employed to pose as customers in a bid to make the restaurant look busy.
But Ramsay insists Hyde’s allegations were unfounded.
He adds, "This is supposed to be the most powerful nation, not the most pathetic. "The idea of bringing mouldy food in and planting actors is a f**king joke.
There’s a man who got very scared and very embarrassed about his lack of professionalism." The case was thrown out of court earlier this month (Aug07), but lawyers acting on behalf of Hyde have vowed to challenge the decision.

Mohamed Al Fayed has revealed his £15 million shrine to the late Princess Diana and his son Dodi.

Posted in: Royal News — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:02 pm

Dodi’s apartment, in London’s exclusive Park Lane, has been left untouched since he and Diana were tragically killed in a Paris car crash in 1997.
Mohamed, who keeps the apartment as a tribute to his son and the princess, believes Dodi’s soul will remain there forever.
The Harrods boss told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “For me this flat is Dodi’s tomb. Everything he left here I keep forever. I believe his soul comes to see the people he loved and the places he enjoyed, the best times in his life.” Diana - who lived just minutes away in Kensington Palace - and Dodi secretly met at the flat at least six times, eating takeaways and watching their favourite movies there.
Housekeeper Karen revealed: “I remember the first time Diana came here with Dodi. She sat on the floor and they ate a takeaway. It was typical of them - almost like teenagers enjoying time on their own.” A huge painting of Diana dancing in a white dress hangs in the living room, alongside a photograph of the princess posing in a black jumper.
The coffee table is filled with magazines all from June or July 1997 - just weeks before the couple died.
Dodi’s huge collection of US Navy baseball caps fills a glass cabinet near the stairwell.
Since Dodi’s death almost a decade ago, Mohamed’s housekeeper has continued to clean the apartment, replenish the fruit bowls and put fresh flowers in every room.
Mohamed visits the fourth floor property every week to remember his son.
He said: “This is a place I come, especially on Fridays - a blessing day for Muslims. It is very difficult for me when I remember him here.” Mohamed, who hasn’t been invited to Diana’s memorial service on Friday (31.08.07), is planning his own tribute to the couple.
He said: “We will have a friends and family gathering in the morning at Dodi’s burial site. In Harrods there will be a silence to mark their deaths. It’s going to be a difficult day.” Mohamed and his family will stand beside a bronze statue of the couple in the famous London store to lead the two-minute silence at 11am on Friday (31.08.07).

The Spanish government have appointed an official to oversee the royal family’s spending.

Posted in: Royal News — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:02 pm

The Bourbons will have their finances scrutinised by government lawyer Oscar Moreno Gil – a former elephant hunter – meaning King Juan Carlos may have tame his tastes for expensive yachts, fast cars and luxurious skiing holidays.
The Spanish royal household, the Zarzuela, claimed yesterday Gil’s appointment to watch the royals’ spending was ‘purely a bureaucratic measure and had nothing to do with political pressure’.
The move comes after left wing and nationalist parties launched a campaign for greater transparency of the royal accounts – as the Spanish royal family are funded by the country’s tax payers.
The United Left and the Catalan regional nationalist party, Esquerra Republicana Catalana (ERC) have repeatedly called for a detailed inspection the royal spending habits.
ERC took the matter to the Spanish constitutional court in June after the lower house of Parliament, the Congress of Deputies, refused to consider the matter despite the ERC tabling 100 questions in Congress.
The appointment of Gil to scrutinise the Bourbon family’s accounts is strongly opposed by the conservative opposition Popular Party.
King Juan Carlos enjoys strong support from the Spanish public, and how much money the family receives, and how they choose to spend it is rarely called into question.

Paul Burrell is furious that he has not been invited to the memorial service for Britain’s Princess Diana.

Posted in: Royal News — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:02 pm

The princess’ former butler made two angry calls to Clarence House yesterday (28.08.07) demanding an explanation as to why he has been banned from Friday’s service (31.08.07) to make the tenth anniversary of her death.
After two heated exchanges, aides at Prince Charles’ office made it clear to Burrell that he “was not wanted and the decision stood.” Burrell was further enraged by the latest decision to invite one of the princess’ closest aides, Victoria Mendham, who was originally not included on the guest list.
A senior Clarence House source said: “Victoria Mendham has now been invited. It was a regrettable oversight.
“Paul Burrell has contacted Clarence House and left the courtiers he spoke to in no doubt about what he thought of their decision to leave him off the list.
“He was told he was not wanted and the decision stood. It is fair to say there was a degree or surprise at Mr. Burrell’s stance.” The royal family insist Burrell exploited his position after Diana’s death. He has published several books and went on a lecture tour of the US talking about the princess’ life and his time in her service.
On Monday (27.08.07), Charles’ wife, Camilla, The Duchess of Cornwall, made the decision not to join her husband at the memorial.
Despite being invited by her stepsons Princes William and Harry, Camilla has opted not to attend the service at the Guards Chapel in Westminster’s Wellington Barracks because she felt public controversy surrounding her attendance would have “diverted attention” from the event.

Matt LeBlanc is being sued for $1 million by his ex-manager.

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:54 pm

Camille Cerio, who is also rumoured to have once been romantically involved with the star, claims in papers filed at a Los Angeles court that the former ‘Friends’ star agreed to pay her commission from the pilot of the hit US show and "subsequent" jobs.
Cerio and LeBlanc’s professional relationship ended in 1995 but she claims he continued to ask her for career advice up to 1998, and claims the payments ended in 2000.
Cerio also submitted a letter written by LeBlanc dating back to 1994 to the court, in which he states "a cheque in the amount of 15 per cent of the gross compensation for pilot and series derived from ‘Friends Like Us’ " be made payable to Cerio.
‘Friends Like Us’ was the original title of ‘Friends’, in which LeBlanc played dim-witted character Joey Tribbiani.
Cerio is now demanding the 40-year-old actor open his accounting records to show how much he earned from ‘Friends’, which ended in 2004, and the subsequent spin-off series ‘Joey’, in which he played the same character.
The lawsuit claims breach of contract and unfair business practices, and Cerio insists the money she is claiming is owed to her as a percentage of his earnings from both shows. LeBlanc vehemently denies he owes the claimant anything.
His attorney said: "No agreement exists with respect to management, the payment of commissions, or otherwise.’
