Britain’s Sarah Ferguson has brought a house next door to her ex-husband Prince Andrew.
The Duchess of York has had an offer accepted for Dolphin House, which is situated just yards from Andrew’s Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park.
Her move comes after she moved out of the pair’s former marital home located in Sunningdale Park, in Berkshire – which was recently sold for £6 million to a Kazakh tycoon.
A source said: “Everyone assumed Fergie would buy a plush home in West London.
“No-one dreamed she would buy the house next door to the prince. I mean, of all the houses in all the world, she has to move next to him. All his staff are stunned.” Another source claims the duchess will now attempt to make use of her ex-husband’s staff, telling Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “There’s absolutely no doubt in their mind that they will be doing her laundry and cooking.” Andrew and Sarah divorced in 1996 after 10 years of marriage, but have remained close.
They even continued to share separate wings of Sunningdale Park until Andrew moved to Royal Lodge in 2004, where he now lives with their daughters Beatrice, 19, and Eugenie, 17.
