TUNSTALL DELIGHTED BY SONG IN SPACE
Scottish singer/songwriter KT TUNSTALL is thrilled NASA played her hit BLACK HORSE AND THE CHERRY TREE to astronauts orbiting in space.
The star was shocked to learn crew on the shuttle Endeavour chose to listen to the tune to lift their spirits last week (ends19Aug07) after the craft became damaged and needed repairing - which required a difficult and dangerous space walk.
She says, "I didn’t even know it had been played in space. That’s amazing.
"To think that I have been played way up there when, as a kid, my dad was really into science as a physics lecturer with access to the university observatory. It was never my ambition to have my records played in space but it’s great to think my music is out there."
