The man who claims he owned ANNA NICOLE SMITH’s Bahamas home has withdrawn his lawsuit against the late model.

Six months after she died from an accidental drug overdose, Thompson has withdrawn his lawsuit, but filed a new damages lawsuit against all the parties that Smith alleged were involved in the real estate deal, Entertainment Tonight claims.

SPEARS TURNS TO BOURNE ULTIMATUM MARTIAL ARTS FOR PROTECTION

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:23 pm

BRITNEY SPEARS has beefed up security and signed up for the hardcore Israeli combat techniques MATT DAMON uses in THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM after growing paranoid following a batch of crazed fanmail.
The pop star is reportedly terrified someone is out to harm her and her young sons Sean Preston and Jayden James - and she’s taking steps to make sure she can take care of herself.
A source close to Spears says, "She has beefed up security, informed them of such mail. She is doing her best to make a comeback but she is terrified about the negative attention she is getting." And now she’s fighting fit after signing up for Krav Maga training.
The insider adds, "She realises she does not have the stamina she used to, after having two kids. She is tired, her body does not work the same. She is putting in overtime into working out strength training, and she’s serious about martial art Krav Maga." The fighting technique, which has been practiced by the Israeli special forces for decades, has become one of Hollywood’s trendiest martial arts in recent years - Jennifer Lopez and Angelina Jolie have all recently studied Krav Maga for film roles like Enough and Tomb Raider.
Fighters claim that as well as helping agility and toughness, Krav Maga also helps raise self-esteem and mental awareness.
John Aldcroft, who teaches the martial art at London’s British Academy of Krav Maga, says, "It’s definitely perfect for Britney Spears because she obviously has a lot of aggression in her and she needs to get that out. Krav Maga will enable her to do that with a degree of control.
"It will also help her with personal safety issues, especially when it comes to the paparazzi, who seem to crowd her at all times."

"I would have like to have had children earlier. But it didn’t happen and you can’t force something like that."

VOIGHT DENIES MOVIE CRITICISES PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:17 pm

Veteran actor JON VOIGHT has denied allegations his new film SEPTEMBER DAWN is a direct criticism of U.S. Republican presidential candidate MITT ROMNEY.
The movie, which tells the story of a group of Mormons massacring 120 California-bound settlers in 1857, has been slammed by followers of the Mormon church - of which Romney is a member - over fears it will turn Christians against them.
But Voight insists the film isn’t a critique of Romney or his religious beliefs - and praised the politician for his attitude towards religious fanaticism.
He says, "This is a true part of our American history - very well documented as well - but we’re not pointing a finger at the (Mormon) church today.
"Nor does it have anything to do with Mitt Romney’s campaign. (He is) one of the people in the political sphere today who really understands what we’re facing with religious fanatics in the Islamic world."

TUNSTALL OFFERS SUPPORT TO YOUNG STARS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:17 pm

Singer KT TUNSTALL has offered her support for troubled stars such as AMY WINEHOUSE - and admits she turned to alcohol to cope with the "tremendous pressure" of fame.
The 32-year-old star concedes she began drinking heavily when she shot to fame in 2005, but believes her age stopped her developing a serious problem.
She says, "Being famous really messes with your head. I found it really weird and I started drinking heavily during that time, which was my way of trying to deal with it.
"Fortunately I didn’t get to the stage where the drinking got to be a problem. Sometimes I look at these young girl singers and think it must be so hard for them. I think the fact I was older helped me. These young girls have tremendous pressures placed on them, with people pulling them this way and that and telling them what’s right for them or what’s wrong for them." MOTLEY CRUE’S BROKE SEXUAL TABOOS FOR MONEY

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:15 pm

The members of hellraising rockers MOTLEY CRUE dared each other to break sexual taboos for big money rewards.
During their heyday, the band were famous for their outrageous behaviour, something bassist Nikki Sixx is embarrassed about now.
He tells Blender magazine, "For us it was always, ‘Let’s set a goal for something stupid and see if we can do it.’ We would put bounties out on stupid s**t, like whoever could sleep with the fattest chick.
"And managers would start getting involved - one of them said there was a $10,000 bounty out for whoever could sleep with a mother-daughter team. Then that became too easy, so it was a mother-daughter-grandmother team. You couldn’t pay me now to do half that s**t."

DITTO BLASTS BUSH

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:14 pm

THE GOSSIP frontwoman BETH DITTO has launched a scathing attack on U.S.
President GEORGE W. BUSH, labelling him a "fascist piece of s**t".
The lesbian singer particularly dislikes Bush’s opposition to same-sex marriage in her native America.
She tells The Advocate magazine, "George Bush is absolutely a fascist piece of s**t.
"As a radical queer, there’s never anybody I can 100 per cent trust in politics. It’s a f**king joke to even call it a debate with the idea that we (haven’t yet treated) human beings like they are on the same par with everyone else, from homos to immigrants.
"It’s two-thousand-f**king-seven, get with the programme, you know? There’s so many candidates and it’s like the worst of two evils - not that I think they’re necessarily evil.
"There are things I don’t trust, because when money is involved, it changes everything. You can’t trust people to be in charge of a lot of people when there’s that much money at stake."

BLUR DRUMMER ADMITS COKE BATTLE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:14 pm

BLUR drummer DAVE ROWNTREE has admitted he battled an addiction to cocaine at the height of the band’s fame in the 1990s.
Rowntree, 43, revealed his former addiction in an article urging the U.K.
government to review their anti-drugs policy in British newspaper The Guardian.
He writes, "Certainly when I first discovered alcohol, and later cocaine, the effect was almost religious in its intensity, and all my problems seemed to melt away. I didn’t start using regularly until the ’90s, but as my tolerance increased, I used more.
"However, my experience of life when not on drink or drugs got progressively worse. The world became an increasingly hostile place, relationships got more difficult and an all-encompassing sense of dread and paranoia set in. Drink and drugs became progressively less effective in soothing those feelings.
"The key point is that all the way along, I thought my behaviour was normal and it was the rest of the world that had gone mad. I had no idea my experience was different to anyone else’s because I had nothing to measure it against.
"I managed to get help before they destroyed my life, and these days I’m active in the recovery community."

"Anyone who knows Darren will recognise that the particular nature of the allegation is totally abhorrent to him and contrary to everything for which he has stood."

R KELLY TAPE TO BE SHOWN

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:11 pm

LATEST: A video which allegedly shows singer R. KELLY having sex with an underage girl will be shown to the public, despite attempts to prevent the tape being released.
The Bump N Grind hitmaker, 40, was charged with 21 counts of child pornography and sex with an underage girl in 2002, after the tape allegedly showing Kelly with a 14-year-old girl surfaced in his native Chicago, Illinois.
Cook County Criminal Court Judge Vincent Gaughan ruled in 2006 there was not an "overarching interest" in keeping the media and the public from seeing a tape that is the "linchpin" of the case, and upheld his initial decision on Tuesday (15Aug07) despite protestations from Assistant State’s Attorney Shauna Boliker to bar the footage from being shown, claiming the tape would be harmful to the alleged victim.
Gaughan maintains he will renege on his decision if the alleged victim agrees to take the witness stand, saying, "If the alleged victim testifies, I’ll change the ruling." Kelly has entered a not guilty plea and maintains he is not the man in the video.
He will stand trial on 17 September (07) and faces a 15-year jail sentence and a fine of up to $100,000 (£50,000) if he is found guilty of the alleged crimes.

FOXY BROWN JAILED

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:44 pm

Troubled rapper FOXY BROWN has been ordered to jail by a New York City judge after violating her probation.
Earlier this week (ends24Aug07), the star - real name Inga Marchand - was accused of lying to police about her name and address during a 31 July (07) traffic stop in New Jersey.
Officers alleged Marchand was driving while talking on her cellphone and ignoring a stop sign. Upon further investigation, they found she was driving on a suspended license.
The traffic stop came just one day after Marchand allegedly attacked her neighbour Arlene Raymond with a Blackberry phone.
Marchand, 27, was arraigned on felony assault charges in Brooklyn Criminal Court last week (16Aug07).
The rapper was summoned to Manhattan Criminal Court on Wednesday (22Aug07), where Judge Melissa Jackson ruled Marchand’s recent incidents had violated her probation stemming from a 2006 assault conviction.
Jackson ordered Brown to remain behind bars until her next court hearing, reports TMZ.com.
Marchand was sentenced to three years probation last year (06) after she was found guilty of assaulting two manicurists in 2004.
The Candy star was also arrested in Florida in February (07) for battery and resisting arrest in a Pembroke Pines beauty store. (ES/WNWCMZ&WN/IG) WENN - BREAKING NEWS - 22 AUGUST 2007 ————————————————————————–

VALKYRIE EXTRAS THREATEN LEGAL ACTION

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:14 pm

LATEST: Injured extras on TOM CRUISE’s forthcoming World War II movie VALKYRIE have threatened legal action following Sunday’s (19Aug07) on-set truck accident.
Nine extras received medical treatment after they were thrown from the vehicle on set in Berlin, Germany. Cruise had a day off filming at the time.
The background artists have now joined forces to seek compensation for their injuries and have hired lawyer Ariane Bluttner.
Bluttner says, "(They will sue) unless producers unbureaucratically and rapidly compensated the injured. Those responsible on the set displayed inhuman indifference in playing with the health and the lives of the extras." Allan Mayer, publicist for producers United Artists, says, "The injuries were extremely minor. Only nine extras were injured (not 11 as had been previously reported). The truck was going 15 miles-per-hour. The 2nd Unit was filming that day, and Tom Cruise was not working. Eight of the extras were treated for cuts and bruises, and the ninth was kept overnight for observation."

PHILLIPPE PREFERS LIFE IN THE U.K

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:12 pm

Hollywood actor RYAN PHILLIPPE prefers London to Los Angeles, because he can go unrecognised in the British capital.
The star - who is currently in London promoting new movie Breach - often takes children Ava, seven, and three-year-old Deacon with him to England, because the country is more child-friendly for celebrities.
He says, "I prefer being in Britain with my children than I do in Los Angeles, because we avoid the (paparazzi). I am not sure if it is because I am not British or not as nearly as interesting here, but I manage to get away with it."
