STAMOS TERRIFIED BY ONSET WORKOUTS
JOHN STAMOS was terrified on the set of TV series E.R - because he was self conscious about working out in public.
The actor, who joined the show’s cast last year (06), took up a fitness regime to prepare for his role as Dr Tony Gates in the medical drama - but admits he exercised in the bathroom to avoid any eye-contact with his fellow castmembers.
He says, "You find yourself doing silly things, because I remember when I’d read articles on (Sylvester) Stallone or Brad Pitt or whoever, in between takes they’s do push-ups and they’d do weights.
"And for the first couple of weeks on the show I didn’t know anybody, so I’d be sitting around feeling like an idiot kind of going, ‘Hi’. And then one time I was hiding in the bathroom and shut the door and I was doing push-ups and I hit my head on the bar and came out with a pumpkin on my head."
