THORNE-SMITH: ‘BOOK IS NOT AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL’
Former ALLY McBEAL star COURTNEY THORNE-SMITH insists her debut novel OUTSIDE IN isn’t autobiographical.
The book, which features characters such as a nasty mother and a cheating husband, is a complete work of fiction, Thorne-Smith insists.
She says, "I know people are going to think it’s autobiographical.
"(The mother character is) so comically not my mom. My mom would crawl over hot coals to have lunch with me.
"I got out of autobiography because my story is, I was famous, it was hard for me, I got into therapy. I had trouble with food, I got a nutritionist.
There’s no story there."
