Hip-hop star COMMON has struck up an unlikely friendship with ANGELINA JOLIE on the set of their upcoming movie WANTED.
The rapper - real name Lonnie Lynn Jr. - reveals co-star Jolie was "very friendly" on set and even introduced partner Brad Pitt to the cast.
He says, "Angelina was the best - I’ve gotta tell you. She was, like, one of the coolest people I’ve ever met. I felt like the way she was encouraging me was just really warm and cool, and she brought the family around. I got to meet Brad - everybody was cool, just down-to-earth people there.
"It’s good to meet somebody who’s such a big superstar who’s just so cool and really there for a cause."

NICOLE RICHIE’s boyfriend JOEL MADDEN is preparing to propose to the pregnant socialite - he confessed to TV personality REGIS PHILBIN live on his show on Thursday (16Aug07).
Philbin coaxed the secret out of Madden when the rocker and his band Good Charlotte appeared on Live! With Regis and Kelly.
While quizzing the 28-year-old about his relationship with Richie, he asked, "You’re going to present her, maybe, with… A little ring, or something?" A shocked Madden replied, "I was hoping it would be a surprise, but now…" Philbin quickly changed the subject and began probing Madden’s twin bandmate Benji about his love life.
Richie is four and a half months pregnant with her first child with Madden.
During his appearance, the rocker also revealed he has been reading guidebooks to prepare for the birth.

WYCLEF JEAN has joined the ranks of BOB DYLAN look-alikes to make an appearance in the video of DJ MARK RONSON’s reworking of the folk-rocker’s classic MOST LIKELY YOU’LL GO YOUR WAY (AND I’LL GO MINE).
The former Fugees star will make a cameo in director Rupert Jones’ promo, which is currently being shot in Brooklyn, New York, and features Dylan look-alikes lured to the set by an Internet ad on Craigslist.com.
The video, shot mainly at Brooklyn’s Art and Historical Center, also features Amy Winehouse’s backing group The Dap Kings. But it doesn’t feature Ronson himself. His segments will be shot in London next week (beg20Aug07).

Hip-hop star SNOOP DOGG has been branded a nightmare neighbour by the residents whose road he deserted seven years ago.
The rapper sold his lavish Claremont, California home earlier this week (begs13Aug07) - despite moving out in 2000 after it featured on an episode of MTV’s Cribs.
And the news has been met with jubilation by his former neighbours who grew tired of his constant partying.
One resident, Capt. Gary Jenkins, recalls, "There were regular parties, and they were loud. So we would receive a lot of noise complaints. There were a lot of cars in the neighbourhood and people loitering around in the streets." The house boasts eight bedrooms, five bathrooms, a home theatre room, a recording studio, a swimming pool and spa, a pool house, a basketball court and a tennis court.

Supermodel HEIDI KLUM snubs a strict diet and exercise regime, crediting motherhood with her slim physique instead.
The German beauty - who is mother to Helene (’Leni’), three, Henry, two, and one-year-old Johan - has just showed off her svelte figure in adverts for clothing label Jordache, her first modelling assignment since giving birth last year (06).
And Klum says her hyper-active children keep her in better shape than ever.

Actress LAURA LINNEY still suffers babysitting nightmares after one young charge turned her into a punch bag.
The Kinsey star plays a stuck-up mother who hires Scarlett Johansson to look after her child in new film The Nanny Diaries, and she admits the film brought back terrible memories.
Linney says, "I was not a very good babysitter. I think it was because I was traumatised early on and I was just too scared to do it again.
"There was a couple in the building that I lived in and I went there to babysit their very unusually large four-year-old child. He was a little like a Mack truck, big kid, really big.
"The parents went off to have dinner and this kid just beat me to a pulp. I mean, I was slapped, I was kicked, I was spit on and then he just started to scream like crazy.
"To make matters worse, they had just had their carpets cleaned and I was allergic to the carpet cleaner. So I called my mother and I was like, ‘I don’t know what to do!’ So she came down and she basically took care of the kid and I gave her the $12 the next day because she earned it and I didn’t.
"That sort of scared me off for a while. It was just child abuse in reverse."

Musician-turned-reality TV star MYLEENE KLASS is celebrating the birth of her first daughter three-and-a-half weeks earlier than expected.
Klass, 29, gave birth to baby Ava at a London hospital in the early hours of Thursday (16Aug07) morning with fiance Graham Quinn by her side.
Despite the premature birth, her spokesman says, "Myleene had a problem-free labour, and mother and baby are doing well. She and Graham are ecstatic." The former Hear’Say star went into labour shortly after co-presenting a show for BBC1. Her spokesman adds, "Myleene presented The One Show and felt a bit weird on the way home. She went to the hospital to get checked out and they told her she was in labour.
"The birth went very smoothly and all is well, but her stint on the show is obviously over."

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL star ASHLEY TISDALE is determined not to be sucked into the Hollywood partygirl lifestyle, and wants to stay teetotal for as long as possible.
Unlike many of her peers, 22-year-old Tisdale shuns the bright lights of Los Angeles and prefers to spend her spare time on more wholesome pursuits.

Actor-director JOHN TURTURRO will distribute his movie ROMANCE & CIGARETTES with his own money, after a studio takeover left it on the scrap-head.
The musical was made in 2004 with an ensemble cast including James Gandolfini, Kate Winslet, Susan Sarandon, Steve Buscemi and Christopher Walken.
It’s future was thrown into jeopardy before it could be released when MGM was bought by a consortium headed by Sony in 2005. It was released in the U.K. in 2006, but has been left in limbo in the U.S. as the filmmakers attempt to unravel a legal mess so the film can be seen by the American public.
Sony Pictures claims it has video rights for the movie and MGM has theatrical rights - but a source claims Turturro has secured the film’s release so it can go on show at New York’s Film Forum from 7 September (07), at his own expense.

Rocker JOHN MAYER has cooled rumours he is dating MANDY MOORE by romancing CAMERON DIAZ over dinner.
The couple were spotted enjoying an intimate dinner at New York eaterie Indochine and, according to spies, were "very playful and cozy." A source tells New York gossip column Page Six the couple "met years ago at a concert (but) their relationship just started".

British TV talent show THE X FACTOR is set to become a family affair when KYLIE MINOGUE joins her judging sister DANNII later this year (07).

MARTHA WAINWRIGHT is hoping to repair relations with her dad by writing a "make up" track.
Wainwright’s relationship with her father - singer/songwriter Loudon Wainwright III - deteriorated in 2004 after the release of her song Bloody Mother F**king A**hole, which she wryly claimed was inspired by his poor parenting.
At the time she explained, "For most of my childhood Loudon talked to me in song, which is a bit of a s**tty thing to do. As a result he has a daughter who smokes and drinks too much and writes songs with titles like Bloody Mother F**king A**hole." But the 31-year-old reveals her anger has subsided a little, and she’s now thinking of a musical reconciliation.
She says, "I should. I need to get good at writing making up songs."

LATEST: QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE rocker JOSH HOMME has struck the latest blow in his battle with SHARON OSBOURNE - dubbing her a musical nobody.
The rift began when Homme accused Sharon and her husband Ozzy Osbourne of treating bands like "s**t" at their annual Ozzfest festival.
Sharon hit back saying she hoped Homme "gets syphilis and dies".

The New York, New York singer opens up about his road to sobriety in a magazine interview, revealing the physical toll it took on his body.
He tells Rolling Stone, "Think about falling off a bicycle and smashing your nuts on that bar, or the most horrible sports accident you can think of." But Adams as adamant the process was preferable to continuing his former lifestyle: "That doesn’t cover what it would be like for me to imagine drinking or doing drugs again.
"I’d wake up, work, go for a drink or two and be exhausted. I would have drugs to keep my physical being going in order to never have to stop working in the night."

Rapper SNOOP DOGG has resigned himself to an offer $100,000 (£50,000) less than the asking price for his California mansion.
The hip-hop star was demanding $1.9 million (£950,000) for the lavish Claremont residence but was forced to back down to $1.8 million (£900,000) after nearly four months on the market, according to local newspaper the Claremont Courier.
