Actress ISLA FISHER feels unworthy of her status as a rising Hollywood star, blaming her insecurities on her Australian background.
After impressing with her role in Wedding Crashers, the pregnant partner of Borat star Sacha Baron Cohen has landed a number of follow-on movie parts - and she is still coming to terms with her success.
The 31-year-old former soap star says, "Maybe it’s an Australian thing but I always feel that I shouldn’t be here somehow. When I’m auditioning for films with women I really respect, and usually when they get the job and I don’t, I just think, ‘Well, they really deserve it’.

SIR ELTON JOHN’s former songwriting partner GARY OSBOURNE has branded the singer terrible at break-ups.
The pair worked together on a string of hits including Little Jeannie and Blue Eyes but Osbourne was dumped without warning, and never heard his services had been terminated until he read it in a newspaper.
In Elton: The Biography, he tells author David Buckley, "Elton is the most talented, charismatic, generous and funny person I have ever known. But if he has a fault, it is that he’s not very good at ending things.
"Even so, I was crushed to learn from a newspaper that… I would no longer be working with Elton. I tried not to take it too personally, but even now, over 20 years later… I often have dreams about Elton, and on some level there is an ache that never quite goes away."

Broadway writing legend ARTHUR LAURENTIS has attacked director SAM MENDES, accusing the Oscar winner of destroying his musical GYPSY.

The veteran - who also wrote West Side Story - tells the New York Post, "I thought Sam did a terrible disservice to Bernadette and the play, and I wanted a Gypsy seen in New York that was good.
"You have to have musical theatre in your bones and Sam doesn’t. You can’t put it there. I know. I tried. I gave Sam many notes, but he just couldn’t do it."

MANI ‘DISGUSTED’ BY WILSON’S HEALTHCARE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:23 pm

Former STONE ROSES bassist MANI has launched a blistering attack on Britain’s National Health Service (NHS) for failing to provide late music mogul TONY WILSON with adequate drugs.
The Factory Records co-founder died on Friday (10Aug07) after losing a battle with kidney cancer.
But Mani insists his life could have been prolonged with better healthcare after the NHS refused to fund a £3,500 ($7,000)-a-month treatment programme for Wilson when chemotherapy failed to tackle his condition.
Mani says, "It’s a f**king disgrace, especially when you consider how much money he must have given the taxman.
"He worked his life, paid his taxes, and the NHS treat him like that. It’s another indication of what a **thole we’re currently living in." The rocker adds, "Everyone in the indie music world owes Tony a debt of gratitude. He put us (The Stone Roses) on his TV show even though we were in direct competition with the Happy Mondays, who were on his label.
"It’s a crying shame that he’s gone. Tony showed that anyone can start their own thing up."
