HARD-FI DEFEND ‘DEATH OF ALBUM ART’ STATEMENT

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:38 pm

LATEST: British rockers HARD-FI have defended their decision to shun album art on their latest record.
The Cash Machine hitmakers insist there’s no need for an iconic cover in the internet age, and have emblazoned their eagerly-awaited second record Once Upon A Time In The West with the simple slogan, "No cover art".
But despite receiving a huge backlash for the statement, frontman Richard Archer is unrepentant.
He says, "People say we must have spent a lot of money on the cover, but we didn’t.
"If Radiohead had done something similar, it would be a work of genius. But because it’s Hard-Fi, it’s OK to have a pop."
