SARAH JESSICA PARKER has snubbed the scent of her own perfume, naming the aroma of her young son’s bedroom her favourite smell.
The former Sex and the City star admits she adores the "clean" smell of her four-year-old son James’ bedroom, compared to her own scents Lovely and Coty’s Covet.
She says, "Not to sound treacly, but (my favourite scent) would be how my son’s bedroom smells when you walk in.
"(It’s) clean, and it’s mixed with their sweat while they’re sleeping and the cotton of their blankets and the moisture that’s right underneath their hair.
But you almost don’t want to share it."

British pop star NATASHA BEDINGFIELD has rescheduled her U.K. tour due to "promotional commitments" in the U.S.
The Unwritten singer was slated to begin her 22-date tour of the British Isles on 2 September (07) in Belfast, Northern Ireland, but has been forced to postpone the gigs until a later date.
A statement on her website reads, "Unfortunately, Natasha’s forthcoming UK tour has had to be rescheduled - this is due to promotional commitments in the US beyond her control.
"The good news is however that she will tour the UK but not until next year."

R&B singer/songwriter THE DREAM has hinted RIHANNA’s chart smash UMBRELLA has a dirtier meaning behind it, because he penned the song using the word simply as a "metaphor".
The Def Jam artist - real name Terius Youngdell Nash - has written songs for stars like B2K and Mya, but points to Umbrella’s more adult-orientated theme which he penned in just 12 minutes.

THE BOURNE IDENTITY actor MATT DAMON joined a string of late-night jazz clubs so he could drink until the early hours when he worked in London in 2002.
The star was appearing on stage in the West End in Kenneth Lonergan’s This is Our Youth and was dismayed to find the local pubs all closed at 11pm.
Damon says, "There were some great late-night clubs there and some great jazz clubs. They are pretty nice about actors visiting - they give you temporary membership! "The pubs shut down at 11pm so I had to join these club-like places."

The actress admits she finds it easier to play cruel characters - such as Lamia in the fantasy film and the racist Velma Von Tussle in kitsch musical Hairspray - because it allows her to vent her anger in a fictional setting.
She tells Parade magazine, "I had fun doing it. I guess I’ve used up all of my mean streak on the screen recently. But remember, I have played even worse people than Velma Von Tussle, the outrageous racist stage mother in Hairspray and this witch in Stardust.

Hollywood star CATHERINE ZETA-JONES has ruled out having anymore children with husband MICHAEL DOUGLAS - because her family life is already "hectic".
The Chicago actress - who is mother to Dylan, seven, and four-year-old Carys - says she is happy with the children she has and there are no plans to have more.
She says, "I’d love to but my life is so hectic. I’m very happy with one of each. "They’re healthy, happy, funny … so I’m done." She also confesses an experience during her time on a production of 42nd Street on London’s West End at the age of 17 has put her off adding to her brood.
She reveals, "I had a room in a single mum’s house, with this baby. I’d never changed a (diaper) before and she asked me one morning if I could look after the baby and I was like, ‘What? I’ve got rehearsals at 3, and I don’t know whether I can do it … don’t leave me alone with a child!’"

AKON is set to add television producer to his resume - he’s launching a reality show starring his two brothers.
The Lonely hitmaker came up with the idea for the show - which follows his brothers’ as they parade around town "posing" as the singer - after seeing fans’ reactions whenever they go out in their hometown of Atlanta, Georgia, reports AllHipHop.com.
He says, "I’m producing a reality TV called My Brother’s Keeper. What it is, I have two of my brothers, and if you see them they look exactly like me.
Whenever I’m not in Atlanta, they go out posing as me and everyone believes it’s actually me. It’s so crazy, because everyone seriously believes it’s me. "They are going around getting VIP treatment, girls, free food at restaurants, free everything and everybody is falling for it. It’s a real life thing, which has got really out of hand in Atlanta, so I decided to take the situation and make it into my advantage by making a reality TV show out of it.
"They get my life, all the perks without having to put in all the hard work I do. I’m constantly working so I can’t live it, but they are out there living it."

Rapper WYCLEF JEAN has enraged thousands of fans after failing to appear at a scheduled hip-hop festival in Canada.
The former Fugees star was due to play at the Global Hip Hop Festival in Toronto, but left fans fuming when he failed to appear - preferring to perform elsewhere with rap superstar T.I. Fan Matt Jenkins says, "Had they said that at the beginning, that would be understandable, problems happen. But they didn’t tell us he wasn’t coming until the very end. We all left disappointed because we had no idea he wasn’t going to show up." A statement issued by organisers YB Entertainment Group, reads, "Wyclef was asked to perform overseas with international superstar T.I.P. (T.I.) on that same weekend.
"He recently voiced a track in collaboration for T.I.P album and the track toke (sic) off on the charts, so we were forced to reschedule the event as per request of the record label."

British pop star AMY WINEHOUSE has sparked fears for her health after she was rushed to hospital on Wednesday (08Aug07).
The Rehab hitmaker - who was nominated for three MTV Video Music Awards on Tuesday (07Aug07) - was taken to the University College Hospital (UCLH) in London, suffering from "severe exhaustion." Shane O’Neill, a spokesperson for the star’s record label Island/Universal, says, "Amy was admitted to the UCLH this morning, suffering from severe exhaustion.
"She was discharged this afternoon and has been advise to take complete rest.
All scheduled performances are now postponed." Winehouse initially sparked concerns for her health after cancelling a string of concerts last month (Jul07), citing "exhaustion" and was ordered by doctors to rest.
During a comeback concert in Cornwall, England, in July, the 23-year-old stunned fans by hitting herself repeatedly on the head with a microphone and walking off-stage midway through her final song.
Winehouse was also recently chastised by her father for her hectic party lifestyle.
She says, "Yes I’ve been bad. And yes I still get the odd rollicking (telling off) from my dad.

LATEST: KANYE WEST has dismissed 50 CENT’s challenge to a live TV debate, insisting it is "the stupidest" idea.
The two rappers are set to release their new albums on the same day next month (11Sep07) and last Friday (03Aug07) 50 - real name Curtis Jackson invited West to a presidential-style debate on U.S. TV network BET to determine who has the better album.
But the Gold Digger star has turned down the offer, because he would rather concentrate on perfecting his art.
Speaking at the MTV Video Music Nominations in New York on Tuesday (07Aug07), West said: "What am I going to debate about? I’m going to go in the studio and make music.
"When I heard that thing about the debate, I thought that was the stupidest thing. When my albums drops and 50’s album drops, you’re gonna get a lot of good music at the same time."

R&B star USHER failed to enjoy his first post-marital dance with new wife TAMEKA FOSTER - they opted for an "intimate" candlelit meal instead.
The 28-year-old singer married pregnant stylist Foster, 37, in a small ceremony in his native Atlanta, Georgia, last Friday (03Aug07) and the couple decided to shun the traditional first dance so they could enjoy their first married moments in private.
He tells Us magazine, "It was beautiful and private. We didn’t have a first dance - but we had a lovely, intimate dinner filled with candlelight and flowers." But the Yeah! hitmaker plans to make amends with a bigger wedding ceremony "sometime later in the year, or after the baby is born".

CHRISTIAN SLATER has vowed to curb his party lifestyle as he makes his return to London’s West End stage - because he can’t afford nights out in the British capital.
The Hollywood actor is preparing to star in a new stage adaptation of the 1994 movie Swimming With Sharks, but has promised to cut back on socialising with friends because it left him in financial difficulties.
He says, "The first time, it was all about the night life and hanging out in the clubs and going to different plays and really seeing how far I could push the envelope.
"But it ended up costing me a lot of money and a lot of time and I was really getting tired." Slater first appeared on the West End stage in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest in 2004.

PARIS HILTON is travelling to Ireland in a bid find out if she is a distant relative of British pop star LILY ALLEN.
The hotel heiress will attend the Flatlake Literary Festival in County Monaghan later this month (25-26Aug07) - an event organised by Allen’s uncle Kevin - to search her family tree.
Keith Allen says, "We believe Paris wants to come to the festival which is at my in-laws’ place at Hilton Park, to check out her Irish ancestry.

Tourism chiefs in Tasmania have launched an official petition to lure SIR ELTON JOHN to the country.
The State Government has urged locals to back their campaign to bring the singer to the Southern hemisphere territory after the Rocket Man announced five dates in Australia in December (07).
Promoter Michael Chugg insists John could be persuaded to add another performance to the scheduled gigs, but says locals must prove they are desperate to have him perform in their area.
He says, "There are two or three regional areas that would love to see Elton John play there and basically my attitude is, well, it’s a big show, it’s not easy to do, let’s see how interested you are." North Queensland, Australia, is also vying for the potential additional performance by John.

LINDSAY LOHAN’s father MICHAEL has blasted his ex-wife DINA for allowing a ‘drunk’ man to raise his children.
Michael has instructed his lawyers to write to his ex-wife complaining she allowed "substitute father" Jim McMillan to bring up the Mean Girls actress and her siblings Michael Jr., 19; Aliana, 13, and 10-year-old Dakota, reports The New York Post.
Michael says, "Jim McMillan should not be in the presence of my children especially when I’m being kept from them. He is no example, nor is he a substitute father." His lawyer John DiMascio says, "During my client’s telephone calls with the children, he has overheard Mr. McMillan in the background making inappropriate comments. On a more disturbing note, it appears that Mr. McMillan was inebriated." Dina, her lawyer and McMillan refused to comment.
