FAITHLESS star SISTER BLISS has blasted pop star KYLIE MINOGUE for not writing her own songs, insisting she is merely a "puppet" for other people’s talents.
The Insomnia songwriter/producer - real name Ayalah Bentovim - claims she’d never choose to work with Minogue because she doesn’t have anything interesting to say, unlike "feisty" British artists like Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen.
She says, "Kylie is not somebody I’d write for. I have no interest in people like that. I like people with an opinion who are a bit eccentric, quirky and have an agenda. And Kylie, lovely though I’m sure she is, has nothing to say that I’m interested to hear. I prefer a strong female, someone who can really write lyrics.
"Kylie doesn’t write her own stuff. Everyone does it for her - she’s a puppet. I prefer someone I could co-write with.

Actress JENNIFER BEALS thrived shooting raunchy lesbian sex scenes in TV show THE L WORD, because she is totally comfortable with her sexuality.
The actress claims her co-stars on the lesbian-themed show found it difficult acting out graphic love scenes - but Beals loved the experience.
She tells British magazine Diva, "I haven’t questioned my sexuality. If I had, I think I would be more ambivalent about the love scenes. Some people on the show did, and they had a really difficult time with it.
"I think that part of what allows me to play it the way I do is because I’m really clear about who I am sexually. I may not know a lot of things about myself, but I know that about my sexuality."

RICK FOX will be reunited onscreen with his ex-wife VANESSA WILLIAMS for a cameo role in hit TV show UGLY BETTY, according to reports.
Fox will join Williams for two episodes of the popular show when he plays bodyguard to her villainous magazine editor character Wilhelmina Slater.
A source tells People.com, "Things get heated (between their characters). "He’ll be playing Dwayne her bodyguard. He’ll be there for at least two episodes." Fox and Williams married in 1999, but divorced five years later. They have a seven-year-old daughter, Sacha.

Hollywood actress MICHELLE PFEIFFER turned down the chance to star in the 1992 film BASIC INSTINCT because she hates nude scenes.
The Hairspray star reveals she was offered the role of murderess Catherine Tramell - later handed to Sharon Stone - but found the erotic love scenes too daunting. She says, "How did you know about Basic Instinct? I just couldn’t do that one, because of the sexual parts, the nudity. My father was still alive. I’m kind of prudish.

HARRY POTTER author J.K. ROWLING has lost a battle in London’s High Court to ban the publication of a picture of her son.
Rowling’s son David was photographed at the age of 20 months in Edinburgh, Scotland with the novelist - and the picture was printed by British newspaper the Sunday Express.
Rowling claimed the child’s right to privacy was infringed and sued the newspaper and the agency that provided the picture, in the attempt to prevent future publication.
But the judge insisted on Tuesday (7Aug07) that the law did not provide celebrities with "a press-free zone for their children in respect of absolutely everything they choose to do". In a statement Rowling and her husband Neil Murray said they were, "Disappointed by the judgement, which seems to have misunderstood our claim.
"Our aim has only been to protect our children from press intrusion during their childhood. "We see no legitimate reason why, as in this case, David, who was less than two years of age at the time, should have his photograph taken and then published in the press.
"We take his, and that of his siblings, privacy and safety very seriously." Rowling revealed she plans to appeal.

British actress SAMANTHA MORTON is pregnant with her second child.
The Minority Report star and fiancé Harry Holm are expecting their child in January (08), reports People.com.
Morton’s publicist, Karon Maskill, says, "It is wonderful news, they are both very excited and looking forward to having their new baby." The 30-year-old is already mother to Esme, seven, from a previous relationship with British actor Charlie Creed-Miles.

British pop star SOPHIE ELLIS-BEXTOR has written a novel - but will never release it because it’s "absolutely awful".
The Murder On The Dancefloor star wrote the book shortly after splitting from British band theaudience in 1998.

BACKSTREET BOYS star NICK CARTER has blamed his massive weight gain last year (06) on depression following his family’s reality TV show, THE HOUSE OF CARTERS.
The singer ballooned to 224 pounds (101.6 kilograms) in 2006, and claims watching the "shocking" playback of the series on America’s E! network triggered his weight gain.
He tells U.S. magazine People, "With my show The House of Carters, it was a shock to me to realise what my family had gone through. After so many years of dysfunction and my parents finally getting divorced and everybody being lost and me being the oldest, there was a lot of stress, a lot of pressure.
"So I finally concentrated on my health, even went to some therapy. They say it starts on the inside. And it’s nice when people look at you and think, ‘Wow, he got his stuff together.’"

Reggae star BEENIE MAN has denied reports he signed an agreement vowing to stop using homophobic lyrics.
The artist was claimed to have added his name to the Reggae Compassionate Act, a new drive to "respect and uphold the rights of all individuals to live without violence due to their religion, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity or gender".
But the singer - real name Anthony Moses Davis - has refuted the claims, insisting while he disagrees with homophobic violence, he does not agree with the lifestyle.
He says, "We don’t need it. We don’t need to kill (them). We just need to tell the people the right (thing) because I not supporting a gay lifestyle because it’s not wholesome to me.
"I do music. And (I never) signed it."

Rapper BUSTA RHYMES has been accused of attacking a fan during a concert last year (06).
The hip-hop star - real name Trevor Smith - was named in a lawsuit filed by fan Roberto LeBron at Manhattan Superior Court on Tuesday (07Aug07).
LeBron claims Smith and nine of his bodyguards kicked him in the head following a concert in August (06).
Smith’s attorney Scott Leemon tells TMZ.com he has yet to see the lawsuit and has "no comment until I see it".
Smith currently faces four separate trials for charges, including drunk driving, driving with a suspended license and assaulting a former employee.

Director MICHAEL BAY testified at the PHIL SPECTOR murder trial on Monday (06Aug07) to again deny claims he snubbed actress LANA CLARKSON at a party two days before her death.
The Transformers filmmaker took the stand at a Los Angeles court after being called by the prosecution. Last month (Jul07), Bay was called by the defence and phoned in his testimony from Japan.
Clarkson, who was shot dead at producer Phil Spector’s California mansion in February 2003, was reportedly devastated by the fact Bay didn’t remember her.
But Bay denied any such incident took place, insisting he’d remember the "vivacious" Clarkson, who he cast in a car advertisement nearly 10 years ago.
He told the hearing, "If I disrespected her she probably would have slapped me. She was just that saucy.
"You would recognise Lana because she was funny, she was vivacious, she had no qualms about coming right up to someone." Spector is accused of shooting Clarkson dead. He has pleaded not guilty and claims Clarkson committed suicide. The trial continues.

JESSICA BIEL is dreading posing nude in her new movie POWDER BLUE, because she is terrified of stripping off in front of the film crew.
The actress plays a stripper in the movie alongside Forest Whitaker and Ray Liotta, but is still unsure about baring all.
She says, "I haven’t decided exactly about the nudity. It’s a tough one.
"I am considering it but it’s a very scary thing to do. It definitely feels vulnerable to be naked in front of anybody let alone a film crew. And it’s scary because of the internet - you don’t know where it’s going to end up. It’s a moment that could be exploited."

DENISE RICHARDS and PAMELA ANDERSON have settled an alleged assault lawsuit with two paparazzos, in relation to a 2006 incident on the set of their movie BLONDE & BLONDER.
In papers filed in March (07), the former Bond girl was accused of launching a "verbal tirade and a physical assault" on photographers Scott Cosman and Rik Fedyck after she spotted them taking pictures of the actresses on the movie set.
The snappers claim she then "snatched their laptop computers from their hands, and threw them over the (hotel) balcony", almost hitting an elderly woman.
The actresses were also accused of lying to Canadian authorities about the November (06) incident, blaming the two photographers for threatening behaviour.
However, the two parties have now come to a "full and complete confidential settlement of all claims", according to new papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on 26 July (07).

TOM HANKS is suing production company Gold Circle Films for failing to pay him his share of the profits from hit movie, MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING.
The Saving Private Ryan actor has teamed up with his co-producers from the 2002 film, his wife Rita Wilson and Gary Goetzman, along with leading actress Nia Vardalos, to launch the legal action against Gold Circle.
The firm is accused of reneging on agreements to pay the four stars a share of the $368 million (£184 million) profits, as stated in their contracts.
The producers claim Gold Circle has so far avoided an audit to specify exact revenue from My Big Fat Greek Wedding, instead providing accounts which are "vague and inadequate in failing to provide information consistent with industry standards".
They are suing for unspecified damages.
