A Manhattan restaurant partly owned by Hollywood actor ROBERT DE NIRO has been named in a lawsuit filed in New York for failing to pay employees’ wages.
Two former waiters employed by Manhattan restaurant chain Nobu have also accused bosses of failing to pay overtime and unfairly splitting tips.
The suit, filed on Thursday (02Aug07) in Manhattan federal court, states that more than 100 waiters were not given tips at the three Nobu establishments and that the tip pool unfairly included managers.
A spokeswoman for Nobu was unable to comment on the allegations.
