VINNIE JONES TO CHALLENGE BECKHAM ON THE SOCCER PITCH?
Soccer star-turned-movie tough guy VINNIE JONES is so inspired by DAVID BECKHAM’s transfer to LA Galaxy, he’s setting up his own celebrity team in Tinseltown.
The former Welsh international is moving to the U.S. city later this year (07) and can’t wait to replicate Beckham’s rapturous reception there with his own all-star side.
He says, "We have people such as Steve Jones from the Sex Pistols and Viv Campbell from Def Leppard, so it’s quite a star-studded team.
"We don’t have dozens of Hollywood friends but those we do have are very important to us." British pop star Robbie Williams also boasts a soccer team in the city - LA Vale.
