FIGHT TO COVER SNOW IN CROWE MOVIE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:14 pm

Shooting on RUSSELL CROWE’s western remake 3:10 TO YUMA came to a standstill when a freak storm blanketed the New Mexico set with snow.
Crowe is joined by Christian Bale and Ben Foster in the re-telling of the classic 1957 movie, but the plot’s drought backdrop was put in jeopardy by freezing weather conditions during filming.
Speaking at Sunday’s (29Jul07) Comic-Con in San Diego, California, director James Mangold told how truckloads of dirt had to be brought in to cover the snow scene.
Cast were also issued with handwarmers to endure the biting cold.
