Actor ORLANDO BLOOM refuses to watch any of his films on DVD because the results disappoint him.
Despite receiving huge acclaim in blockbuster franchises the Pirates of the Caribbean and Lord of the Rings, Bloom still lacks confidence in his onscreen capabilities.
He says, "I’ve never even watched one of the DVDs. I sometimes think it would be nice to show your kids one day.
"Sometimes I catch a glimpse in hotel rooms or on planes, and think, ‘Eurggh, is that what I was doing?’"

Rock hellraiser KEITH RICHARDS was the first person to teach British entrepreneur SIR RICHARD BRANSON how to roll a joint.
The tycoon confesses he’s tried an assortment of drugs in the past, but smoking with the Rolling Stones guitarist was one of his more memorable encounters with illegal substances.
He says, "(Keith) was the first person to teach me how to roll a joint.
"I haven’t tried skunk (a strong variety of cannabis), I have smoked cannabis though. I went with my son on his gap year, for God’s sake. We learnt to surf and had some nights where we laughed our heads off for eight hours." He adds of other drug experiments, "I took ecstasy once… but it didn’t have a massive effect on me.
"(When I took Viagra) I had to tie something around my trousers for the rest of the next day to make sure nothing showed."

BRITNEY SPEARS has sold the Malibu, California home she shared with ex-husband KEVIN FEDERLINE.
The singer has sold the seven-bedroom property to an anonymous buyer for $12 million (£6 million).
Spears put the mansion on the market last November (06) for $13.5 million (£6.75 million), but cut the price in March (07).
The pop superstar’s other California mansion, a six-bedroom house in Beverly Hills, remains on the market for just under $7.5 million (£3.75 million), according to Life & Style magazine.
As she attempts to sell the second home, Spears has reportedly moved herself, her two sons and her entourage into the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills.

magazine show THE VIEW.
The comedienne/actress-turned-radio presenter has been hired to replace outspoken Rosie O’Donnell on the morning show, where a panel of women discuss the latest topics and interview celebrities.
Goldberg has made a series of guest appearances on the show during its 10 year run, and producers insist she was always a top choice.
O’Donnell quit the show at the beginning of the summer (07) following a series of rows with co-hosts and producers.

Scottish star KT TUNSTALL had ambitions to be an actress before she hit on a music career.
The Suddenly I See hitmaker enrolled in her local theatre group while still at school and was so talented she was chosen to take part in a Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) project.
But the venture put her off acting for good when she realised she’d have more chance of success on stage with her guitar.
She says, "Up until I was 16, I was pretty adamant that I was going to act.
Then I went to do this project with the RSC and I saw this catty, competitive, back-stabbing side of theatre. It was just when I started writing music, so I was spending a lot of my time writing.
"At the end of the course, we had a performance cabaret where everybody did a skit and I thought, ‘F**k it, I’m going to play a song.’ And everyone said it was good. I was like, ‘No girls here play guitar or write songs, but they all want to be actresses. Hmmm…’"

Former DEAD OR ALIVE singer PETE BURNS was threatened with police intervention when he flouted England’s new smoking ban in a restaurant.
The star and new ‘husband’ Michael Simpson were eating at fast food chain Little Chef in Bicester, Oxfordshire when he lit up on Tuesday (31Jul07) contravening a ban on smoking in public places that came into force on 1 July (07).
Burns was ordered to extinguish the cigarette three separate times by management, who then threatened to call in the police.
The singer calmly continued to smoke as he finished his coffee, before walking out unpunished.

SYSTEM OF A DOWN rocker SERJ TANKIAN is amazed he made it in music - as a child his parents begged him to learn an instrument, but he was too interested in schoolwork.
The heavy metaller comes from a musical family - but rejected the opportunity to follow in his singer father’s footsteps at first.
He says, "My parents tried to convince me to take up an instrument as a kid and my Dad is a beautiful, beautiful singer - my voice is s**t compared to his.
They bought me a guitar that I never played because I was always more interested in my studies.
"Then in college something switched inside of me, I took up the keyboard and I went at it like someone who has never eaten before who has suddenly been presented with unlimited food. I went nuts for music."

American crooner ANDY WILLIAMS gave BOBBY KENNEDY a tie to be buried in because he was riddled with remorse over his death.
The singer had arranged to accompany the presidential hopeful - a close pal and his wife Ethel on a night out the very same evening he was shot by Palestinian gunman Sirhan Sirhan at Los Angeles’ Ambassador Hotel in 1968. But Williams changed his plans at the last minute, and was devastated to hear his friend died the next day at The Good Samaritan Hospital.
He recalls of the difficult days following the assassination, "By the time I got to him, he was already dead… there was blood all over Bobby’s clothes, on everything. So I went back to the Beverly Hills Hotel where he was staying, and got him a shirt and suit. But there was no tie. So I took off my own - a black one - and they dressed him in the fresh clothes and my tie for the flight back to New York on Air Force Two.
"And I sang The Battle Hymn Of The Republic at the funeral. We chose that song because he used it on the campaign trail. He had a terrible voice but he loved to sing that song. The only way I got through singing in church that day was by saying, ‘This is my job. I can’t let emotion get in the way of the song.’ I really concentrated on not thinking about him."

KID ROCK looks set to lose a few friends in the hip-hop industry after dismissing rap as "easy".
Reverend Run, real name Joseph Simmons, recently confirmed an album with Kid Rock and the rock-rapper will also appear on Lil’ Jon’s album Crunk Rock, due for release later this year (07).
But the pair may reconsider working with him again after the rock-rapper branded their craft facile.
He says, "Writing a rap, to me, is easy. I could write a rap like that.
"But writing songs and melodies and s**t that’s hopefully going to stick around for 30, 40 years is f**king hard."

BRITNEY SPEARS’ ex-husband KEVIN FEDERLINE is refusing to berate his former wife in public, insisting any issues he has to discuss with her will be done behind closed doors.

The aspiring rapper’s lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan admits his client treats his two boys very differently from their mother. The couple share custody of the two boys.
Kaplan says, "When they are with him, he is going to shield his children from unwanted media attention. You will not find a picture of Kevin parading with the children out in a public place.
"He’s focused right now on being the best parent that he can be.
"He doesn’t want to do anything that would be perceived as taking her (Spears) down a peg. His goal is to keep things between him and Britney private. There’s a proper forum to discuss issues with a co-parent. That place is not in the public eye."
