Cult rocker TREVOR BUTLER has been killed in an automobile accident in North Carolina. He was 28.
The Bottom Of The Hudson bassist was travelling in a van with members of the band when a tyre blowout caused the vehicle to lurch off the I-40 freeway and roll over several times.
Drummer Greg Lytle is in critical condition in a Chapel Hill hospital, while driver/bandmate William Chesterton Chambers is one of the other injured passengers.
Butler was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, and was thrown from the van.
Bottom Of The Hudson released their latest album Fantastic Hawk on 17 July (07).
