The 25-year-old brunette, who was dancing with a crowd of brides-to-be at London nightclub Mahiki at the weekend, let slip she is expecting to wed William.
When asked if this was her hen party, Kate replied: ‘No, this isn’t my night.’ She then added with a mysterious smile: ‘Not yet.’ The pretty graduate, who works as a buyer for high street fashion and accessories chain Jigsaw, also revealed she wants an understated celebration for her own hen party.
Kate said: ‘It’s much better when hen nights are a bit toned-down.
‘It’s a few of the girls’ hen nights tonight, and they’ve been quite civilised so far. But we’re all having a really good time.’ Sources are now convinced Kate and William, who split in April but rekindled their romance last month, will soon announce they are engaged.
A source told Britain’s People newspaper: ‘The fact that Kate said ‘not yet’ is the clearest indication that her relationship with William is not just back on track, but going from strength to strength.
‘Things are very different now. William realised what a mistake he made in dumping Kate. She feels it is up to William to pledge his future to her. The signs are that he will do anything to keep her this time, so all the Palace talk is of her getting her wish.’ The couple are said to be planning a romantic summer break at William’s remote Scottish cottage in Birkhall.
The prince has also reportedly given Kate a Cartier necklace to prove his commitment.
