LATEST: USHER’s wedding has been mysteriously scrapped.
The R&B superstar was hoping to wed his pregnant fiancee Tameka Foster on Saturday afternoon (28Jul07) at record executive Antonio ‘L.A.’ Reid’s home in Long Island, New York.
Flowers, catering and even entertainment by Usher’s pal Robin Thicke was booked when the singer’s publicist announced the ceremony was cancelled earlier today (28Jul07).
Usher’s spokeswoman, Patti Webster, says, "No additional information will be given regarding the circumstances of the cancellation, but we hope the privacy of this matter will be respected." Webster refused to comment on whether or not the couple had split.
Usher announced his stylist girlfriend Foster was pregnant in January (07) and the couple confirmed engagement reports in June (07).
News of the wedding cancellation comes just days after American tabloids reported Foster has a secret criminal past.
In the current issue of the National Enquirer, Foster’s half-sister has spoken out about her past - including a romance with a drug dealer, who was ‘executed’ by a rival gang.
Valencia Foster told the tabloid, "Tameka is giving him (Usher) a big-time snow job." The half-sister reveals she was sworn to secrecy when Usher went home to Oakland, California to meet his future in-laws recently.
She adds, "(He said) ‘You know all the family secrets - tell me about them.’ Before I could say a word, Tameka kicked me so hard under the table she almost put a hole in my leg. Then she pulled me aside and whispered, ‘Don’t tell him anything.’" But Valencia couldn’t keep quiet - she told the Enquirer her half-sister was once involved with a married drug dealer and was arrested twice, allegedly serving 20 days behind bars for petty theft.

LATEST: R&B star ROBIN THICKE will sing at pal USHER’s wedding in Long Island, New York on Saturday (28Jul07), according to the latest U.S. reports.
The Yeah! hitmaker will reportedly wed pregnant fiancée Tameka Foster at the Wainscott home of top producer Antonio ‘L.A.’ Reid.
The big day comes just a month after the couple confirmed their engagement and pregnancy.
One insider tells American magazine Life & Style, the wedding date was pushed up because of the pregnancy, explaining, "They were planning on getting married at the end of the year, but when Tameka found out she was pregnant, they rushed to have the wedding." The magazine reports Usher’s once-estranged father and his godfather, actor/dancer Ben Vereen, will attend the wedding ceremony. But the singer’s mother and former manager, Jonnetta Patton, who disapproves of her son’s relationship with Tameka, was not invited.
Wedding planner to the stars Diann Valentine is reportedly handling all the last-minute arrangements. Thicke will sing the bride and groom’s favourite tunes and Harlem chef Sylvia will cater the event.

ROD STEWART’s socialite daughter KIMBERLY has laughed off reports she is dating bad boy American rocker TOMMY LEE.
Rumours first surfaced the couple were dating after Pamela Anderson’s ex reportedly attempted to woo Kimberly by flying a helicopter the her Los Angeles mansion.
But Stewart insists they are just friends.
She says, "I don’t have a boyfriend at the moment. "Tommy is, honestly, just a friend. I don’t have any time to see anyone right now."

Superstar MICHAEL JACKSON has been ordered to pay $256,000 (£128,000) in overdue fees to a California law firm, according to court papers filed in Los Angeles.
The Thriller hitmaker has been ordered by Torrance Superior Court to pay the fees to law firm of Ayscough and Marar after failing to compensate for their services following his 2005 sex abuse case.
It is believed Jackson’s lawyers have agreed to pay the outstanding fees.
Last month (Jun07), Jackson settled a breach-of-contract lawsuit with financial company Prescient Acquisitions Group over $48 million (£24 million) brokerage fees for the singer’s multi-million dollar loans.

BRITNEY SPEARS has come under fire from an animal rights group in Los Angeles after choosing to buy a new $3,000 (GBP1,500) dog from a pet store.
The Humane Society U.S. officials claim the pop superstar should have spent more time picking her pet.
Spokeswoman Stephanie Shain tells U.S. TV news show Entertainment Tonight, "Choosing a dog is a major lifestyle decision that should not be taken lightly.
"We suggest that people take time to choose a member of their family, and to be sure they are working with a reputable breeder… Ms. Spears is setting a damaging example to the public.
"Most dogs sold in pet stores come from puppy mills - factorylike facilities, churning out purebred and ‘designer’ puppies in large numbers. Puppy mills look only to make a profit; commonly disregard the dog’s physical and emotional health."

Movie star NICOLAS CAGE has purchased a £5 million ($10 million) countryside mansion in Bath, England - making him the owner of 14 properties worldwide.
The actor was attracted to the 18th century Midford Castle for its ideal getaway from the "madness" of Hollywood, reports British newspaper The Sunday Times.

Hollywood couple BRAD PITT and ANGELINA JOLIE are planning to move to Berlin, Germany, so they can bring up their children out of the limelight.
According to reports, Pitt is growing concerned about the health of his partner, who has been photographed looking unwell and underweight.
He also wants their children Maddox, five, Pax, three, Zahara, two and baby Shiloh to grow up in Europe.
Britain’s Daily Mirror claims Pitt told a friend, "I want Angelina to settle down somewhere out of the limelight. She’s lost a lot of weight recently and our plans are strictly to do with our move to Berlin.
"She wants to leave acting and support me with this. We also don’t want our kids to go to school in Hollywood - it will be best if they can go to school in Berlin. We love the city.
"Berlin is so quiet and balanced, away from paparazzi." Pitt already has one home in the city and is planning a second, which he is designing with his architect friends Thomas Willemeit, Lars Krueckeberg, and Wolfram Putz - who renovated his Los Angeles home.
Pitt says, "Design and architecture has always been my dream. I very much see my future in this, not the film industry.
"We bought one beautiful house in Berlin, and another one I am trying to design myself close to Potsdam.
"I have signed the contracts with two of my German partners and the contract starts in September 2008. I cannot wait."

Pop superstar MADONNA’s controversial advertisement for clothing giant H&M has been given the green light by British television censors.
The commercial, which sees the singer observing a young girl getting whipped and stripped by two men, was accused of encouraging paeodophilia by the U.K audience.
But the watchdog Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) dismissed the claims, insisting the commercial was "artistic".
They also said the actress in the commercial is 24-years-old and insist she is not dressed in the style of a young girl.
However, the ASA agreed the advertisement would not be broadcast during children’s television programmes.

Cartoon characters THE SMURFS and G.I. JOE will make their movie debuts following the success of summer blockbuster TRANSFORMERS. The animated creatures will be joined by Alvin and the Chipmunks and He-Man as a wave of television cartoon characters of the past are re-worked for the big screen. Lorenzo di Bonaventura, co-producer on Transformers said a script for all-American war hero G.I. Joe was being written and Paramount have earmarked November 2008 for the release of the first full-length animated Smurfs movie.
Meanwhile Warner Brothers are planning to produce movie adaptations of He-Man and Thundercats, while Fox are working on a script for Alvin and the Chipmunks.

The 61-year-old actor - who stars in the upcoming Pink Panther remake - wore an Inspector Clouseau moustache for the occasion, according to People.com.

British rockers HARD-FI sought revenge on touts who were selling their concert tickets on an online auction by returning them to genuine fans.
The band were left fuming after discovering tickets for an Edinburgh, Scotland gig were being illegally sold on eBay.
Frontman Richard Archer reveals the band tracked down the culprits and confiscated the tickets, before giving them to their loyal fans.
He says, "We wanted it to be our fans getting the tickets. People on our mailing list went into a ballot but it got leaked on a public website. "Some people may have bought tickets then were genuinely not able to go so they sell them, which is fine. If we found out who did it, we took the tickets off them and reallocated them to a real fan."
