SPICE GIRL VICTORIA BECKHAM will cameo in the upcoming second season of UGLY BETTY, the show’s executive producer has confirmed.
The 33-year-old singer, who moved to Los Angeles earlier this month (Jul07), will star in a wedding-themed episode of the hit ABC comedy.
Producer Marco Pennette enthuses, "There’s a wedding dress involved. There’s a wedding involved with her storyline." Pennette joked, "But we want her husband (David) on set. It’s one of the requirements." Ugly Betty star Becki Newton, who plays binge-eating receptionist Amanda, hopes her character clashes with Beckham.
She says, "Amanda is going to be like, ‘I’m not standing next to Posh because she’s too skinny. She’s gonna make me look fat.’ Amanda’s gonna take her down."

The personal assistant BRITNEY SPEARS has hired and reportedly fired in the space of just a month, is reportedly planning to sell her story.
Shannon Funk claims Spears didn’t ask her to sign a confidentiality agreement and has been offered $500,000 (£250,000) to reveal intimate secrets and images of the star.
Funk, who was only hired by the pop princess earlier this month (Jul07), was reportedly fired after Spears’ disastrous OK! magazine photoshoot.
But Funk has told showbiz blogger Perez Hilton she wasn’t fired and is in talks with a number of publications to tell all.

MEAN GIRLS director MARK WATERS is urging troubled actress LINDSAY LOHAN to sort her life out, following her second drink driving arrest in two months.
Waters directed Lohan in two of her biggest films - Mean Girls and Freaky Friday - and insists he won’t hire her again until she sorts out her personal problems.
Lohan was arrested in Los Angeles on Tuesday (24Jul07) and charged with driving under the influence and possession of cocaine.
Waters says, "Unlike other celebrities in the news going to jail, she’s actually somebody who has got verifiable talent and actually good at what she does.
"I’m certainly not going to be seeking her out until she gets her personal life in order. On a business level, most companies aren’t going to want to take the chance making a movie with someone who is unreliable.
"I think eventually, because she is good, she will get around to working again. She’s still so young. She’s only 21.
"If you don’t want to attract the attention, you don’t have to attract the attention. But if you crave the attention, believe me, they’re there to snap it for you."

HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX continues to cast spells on cinema-goers, topping the U.K. box office for a second week running.
The latest installment of the boy wizard franchise held off stiff competition from musical comedy Hairspray, which, at number two, couldn’t net the £6.6 million ($13.2 million) Potter pulled in.
Animation Shrek the Third dropped one place to number three while action sequel Die Hard 4.0 and Bollywood movie Partner rounded out the top five.
As well as Hairspray, other new entries on British screens last weekend (20-22Jul07) included kid’s caper Firehouse Dog at number six and Private Fears In Public Places - a French adaptation of an Alan Ayckbourn play - at 15.

THE NOTEBOOK star JOAN ALLEN is the latest celebrity to leap to the defence of troubled star LINDSAY LOHAN, insisting she "feels her pain".
The 50-year-old doesn’t underestimate the severity of the Driving Under The Influence charges levelled against Lohan following her arrest on Tuesday (24Jul07), but pleads for fans to recognise the problems and pressures the Mean Girls star is dealing with before judging her too harshly.
She says, "I feel very bad for her because I think she obviously has a lot of problems, and maybe is in a lot of pain. It’s serious.
"I try and put myself in her position, and I would just feel so bad being scrutinised to the degree that she is.
"I just hope the best for her, because I think she’s so talented and I feel she’ll overcome this. I just wish she could do it more privately."

R&B singer AMERIE was horrified when her record bosses suggested her university education may put potential fans off her music.
The 1 Thing beauty graduated from Washington D.C.’s prestigious Georgetown University in 2000 before pursuing her music career and refuses to hide her educated background from fans.
She says, "Some people at my label thought my record sales might suffer because I went to college. But you don’t have to live in your car to feel an emotion strongly. I had a middle-class upbringing, but we all have our own perspective.
"When I’m singing, I’m in a different zone. I let my hair down and play up my sexuality. I don’t like performing in jeans, so I perform in a short skirt or shorts."

The rocker loves performing live but a Boston, Massachusetts radio performance almost put her off for good when a youngster in the audience started making obscene gestures.
She recalls, "None of our fans were there. There was this little girl in the front row, I’ll never forget her. She was kind of Goth, with black eyeliner, black outfit. She kept giving me the finger and mouthing the words ‘I f**king hate you,’ over and over.
"I kept looking straight at her, I focused on her, her and her alone. Then she kind of went away. Generally, it’s been nothing but love."

LATEST: Former TOWERS OF LONDON guitarist THE REV has blamed his departure from the band on its "overbearing" frontman.
The Rev, along with drummer Snell, quit the British five-piece earlier this month (13Jul07) just days before they were due to kick start a U.K. tour.
They insist frontman Donny Tourette’s appearance on U.K. reality show Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year (07) was at the root of their decision, because it changed his outlook on the group.
The Rev explains, "I felt the integrity of the band had gone since Donny’s appearance on Celebrity Big Brother.
"Donny and Dirk (Tourette) became all about the partying and the music suffered. It had become the Donny Tourette show. I left the band on my own terms."

LATEST: The mother of the teenage boy allegedly attacked by rapper TONY YAYO has blasted the G-UNIT star for refusing to acknowledge responsibility for the incident.
Tony Yayo, real name Marvin Bernard, has been accused with smacking 14-year-old James Rosemond - son of Jimmy ‘Henchman’ Rosemond, head of rival hip-hop company Czar Entertainment - in a New York City street in March (07).
Bernard refused a plea deal on Tuesday (24Jul07) after he was offered a nine month jail sentence in exchange for pleading guilty to the assault.
Cynthia Reid, the boy’s mother, is disgusted; "It is reprehensible that rap artist Tony Yayo continues to deny responsibility for assaulting, harassing and endangering the welfare of my 14-year-old son whom he senselessly battered in March.
"It was blatant and vicious and illustrates Yayo’s negligence while proving that he considers himself above the law. It is also indicative of a larger pattern of behaviour by entertainers that do not hold themselves accountable for being peaceful, respectful, and law abiding citizens. I am certain that justice will be served when Tony Yayo stands before a judge." Bernard is currently free on $5,000 (£2,500) bail and is scheduled to return to court in September (07).

LATEST: Troubled socialite NICOLE RICHIE has been sentenced to four days in jail after pleading guilty to driving under the influence.
The 25-year-old was sentenced on Friday morning (27Jul07) in Los Angeles Superior Court, where she was supported by her boyfriend, Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden.
Richie was arrested on 11 December (06) when she found driving her Mercedez Benz the wrong way down California State Route 134 highway in Burbank, California.
After failing an on-field sobriety test, Richie admitted to having smoked marijuana and taken a vicodin painkiller.
In court on Friday, Richie was fined $2,048 (£1,024) and ordered to complete a 21-day alcohol education course. She has also been placed on three years probation.
Richie must serve her time in either the City or County Jail before 28 September (07).
The Superior Court Commissioner warned Richie she had put lives at risk during the incident and if she drove under the influence again and killed someone, she could be charged with murder - not manslaughter.
Richie was previously convicted of driving under the influence in 2003.

Ex-couple TOM CRUISE and NICOLE KIDMAN may be seeing more of each other than usual in September (07) - they’ll both be filming in Berlin at the same time.
The couple, who divorced in 2001 after 10 years of marriage, are both set to film in the German capital for two months.

Troubled singer BRITNEY SPEARS’ bodyguard JULIO ‘JC’ CAMERA has been accused of assaulting a photographer in Las Vegas on Thursday morning (26Jul07).
A paparazzo was attempting to take photos of Spears and her children Sean Preston and Jayden James as they walked through the Wynn Hotel & Casino just before noon on Thursday, when Camera alleged lashed out.
America’s Us Weekly magazine reports eyewitnesses claim Camera shoved the photographer’s partner Kyle Henderson in the chest and accidentally hit 22-month-old Sean Preston.
After his alleged altercation with Henderson, Camera reportedly attacked Henderson’s partner and began punching him.
Both parties were asked to leave the Wynn by resort security and Spears has since checked out of the hotel.
The unnamed photographer sustained "minor abrasions" and filed a police complaint against Camera.
The Las Vegas Police Department have confirmed Camera has been cited for misdemeanour battery.
Meanwhile, Spears has accused Henderson of battery of Sean Preston in a police complaint.

"That was the only time I felt like crying. He’s my little brother. As he said in the speech, we shared a bedroom for 30 years. I don’t think my mother felt the loss, but my brother did."
