PALTROW ‘TOO OLD’ FOR MURPHY ROLE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:11 am

BRITTANY MURPHY replaced GWYNETH PALTROW in new movie LOVE & OTHER DISASTERS because, by the time writer/director ALEK KESHISHIAN had completed the script, the Oscar winner was too old to play a Vogue magazine intern.
Keshishian started writing the film 10 years ago with Paltrow in mind, but she has since become a mum of two - and he felt he had to recast the role.
He says, "She was just too old for the role. The character is supposed to be a young girl." Ironically, at 29, Murphy is just five years younger than Paltrow.
However, Paltrow did manage to secure a cameo in the film.
