LOHAN’S FATHER HALTS CUSTODY BATTLE TO HELP LINDSAY
LINDSAY LOHAN’s father has called off his custody battle with his estranged wife - to concentrate on saving his daughter’s life.
Michael Lohan, who was recently released from a two-year prison sentence, feels partly to blame for his 21-year-old’s drug and alcohol problems - and he was stunned by news that his actress daughter was arrested on drink driving and cocaine possession charges this morning (24Jul07).
Now, all Michael Lohan wants to do is help his desperate daughter: "I want to withdraw everything - court wise - sit down with (estranged wife) Dina, as Lindsay’s parents, and figure out how to help her.
"Lindsay can’t do this on her own… When we were together, none of this was happening." Lohan fears his public feud with his estranged wife is partly to blame for his daughter’s problems.
A judge ordered Michael and Dina to see a family therapist as part of an ongoing custody war over their two young children, Ali and Dakota. The couple was also ordered to stop speaking negatively of each other in front of their kids and undergo counselling at a hearing on Monday (23Jul07).
