ANTHONY TO TAKE LOPEZ OUT ON HER FIRST TOUR

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 4:14 am

Singer MARC ANTHONY has decided to introduce his wife JENNIFER LOPEZ to the joys of being a musician on the road - the couple has decided to tour together.
Anthony, who recently revealed he and J.Lo made a vow to each other on their wedding day to avoid working apart, is looking forward to the upcoming road trip, which has yet to be finalised.
He tells website Billboard.com, "Jennifer has never toured. I’ve toured all my life. This is where I can step in and say, ‘Oh, my God, this could be fun,’ and introduce her to that world.
"It is something she’s always wanted to do, but she’s never had the time…
So, yes, we’re seriously talking about going out this year (and) putting together an amazing show with just her and myself."

  • DAMON & AFFLECK BOUGHT SAME CAR AT SAME TIME

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 4:11 am

Childhood friends MATT DAMON and BEN AFFLECK both splashed out on the same vehicle after selling their Oscar-winning GOOD WILL HUNTING script, despite the fact it was "so gay to get the same car".
Damon and Affleck had long dreamed of driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee, and when they received their first big payday for the 1997 movie’s script at the same time, both bought the same car.
Damon tells American magazine GQ, "We both bought Jeep Grand Cherokees.
"It was funny, because Ben and I, we both always wanted a Jeep Grand Cherokee for some reason. That was the car. We always talked about it but never could afford one.
"So when we suddenly had the money, we each instantly started trying to convince each other to get a different car. We’d say, ‘Hey, have you seen the Explorer? The Ford Explorer is really cool.’ "Because we knew it would just be so gay to get the same car."

  • PRODUCER: ‘LOHAN MOVIE IS NOT CANCELLED’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 4:11 am

LATEST: Studio bosses have denied reports LINDSAY LOHAN’s next film role has been cancelled because producers are concerned about the star’s post-rehab partying.
Lohan was released from Promises rehab centre in Malibu, California on 13 July (07) and was spotted out with pals in Las Vegas just days later.
But producer ROBERT HICKMAN insists speculation the movie, Poor Things, has been cancelled is false.
He says, "The film has not been cancelled. Any rumours saying differently are just that - rumours."

  • MOORE: ‘I’M NOT GAY’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 4:09 am

American actor SHEMAR MOORE has dismissed reports he is gay, insisting women are the "greatest creation" in the world.
The 37-year-old was recently pictured naked on a Maui ‘gay beach’ in photographs published in U.S. tabloid The National Enquirer.
But Moore insists his two naked female companions were edited out of the photos and the beach was, in fact, unisex.
He says, "I went on vacation with two girlfriends of mine who, interestingly enough, got cut out of the pictures. We found a nude beach that, as far as I know, was a unisex beach… "I had two hot chicks with me who wanted to go skinny dipping. Thank God the water was fairly warm! "I’ll say it right now - I’m not gay. I love women. Women are God’s greatest creation. But I have no problem with people who are gay."

  • STUDIO DENIES SANDLER FILM PLAGIARISED HOGAN COMEDY

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 4:08 am

Movie bosses have dismissed claims ADAM SANDLER’s new film I NOW PRONOUNCE YOU CHUCK & LARRY plagiarised a 2004 PAUL HOGAN comedy.
Hogan and Michael Caton starred in Australian movie Strange Bedfellows as two heterosexual men who pretend to be a gay couple - the same basic plot premise as I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry.
However, officials at Universal Pictures have denied any intentional similarity, arguing the Sandler film was in development years before Strange Bedfellows’ release.
In a statement, the studio says, "Universal Pictures has reviewed the contentions of the producers of Strange Bedfellows and has determined that Universal’s film I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry does not infringe the copyright in Strange Bedfellows.
"In addition to the fact that the films are substantially different, I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry was in development at Universal several years before Strange Bedfellows was theatrically released in Australia."

  • MORALES SUED FOR ‘INFECTING’ EX-LOVER WITH HERPES

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 4:08 am

Former NYPD BLUE star ESAI MORALES is being sued by an ex-girlfriend for allegedly assaulting and passing on herpes to her.
In court papers filed by Elizabeth Mazzocchi - who used to live with Morales - in Los Angeles Superior Court, the 44-year-old actor stands accused of assault, battery, intentional and negligent transmission of a sexually transmitted disease, and breach of oral contract.
Mazzocchi claims Morales knew he had herpes but never told her about it, meaning she has "an incurable disease that will have associated medical expenses, pain and discomfort for the rest of her life."

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 4:05 am

Country rocker LUCINDA WILLIAMS has announced plans to play five of her eight studio albums over five gigs in both New York and Los Angeles.
The singer/songwriter will perform an album per night, starting with World Without Tears (2003), followed by Essence (2001), Car Wheels On A Gravel Road (1998), Sweet Old World (1990) and Lucinda Williams (1988).
After playing through that night’s album, each concert will then see Williams perform a second set of material from her 2007 disc West alongside songs that pre-date 1988.
Williams has lined up five shows at the El Rey Theater in Los Angeles in early September (07), followed by two gigs at New York’s Irving Plaza in late September and a further three at the city’s Town Hall in early October (07).

  • STRUMMER HONOURED WITH GUITAR

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 4:05 am

THE CLASH frontman JOE STRUMMER will be honoured by guitar manufacturer Fender later this month (Jul07), when The Joe Strummer Telecaster goes on sale.
The late rocker, who died in 2002, played a 1966 Telecaster throughout his career, which he customised over the years by adding stickers, stencils and paint.
Artist Shepard Fairey has designed a customisation kit, which comes in a 12-inch record sleeve, containing stickers and stencils inspired by those found on Strummer’s instrument.

  • BASSIST: ‘THE SMITHS ARE UNLIKELY TO REGROUP’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 4:05 am

Former THE SMITHS bassist ANDY ROURKE insists the legendary band is unlikely to reunite, because singer MORRISSEY is difficult to get in touch with.
Rourke has had little contact with Morrissey, who now lives in Los Angeles, since the British band split in 1987.
But he refuses to rule out a regrouping.
Rourke says, "He makes himself unavailable. He only communicates in postcards. But I suppose time is a great healer, and can change your perception of people." Earlier this month (Jul07), The Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr revealed he still socialises with Morrissey, but the pair have never discussed reforming the group.

  • STORE DENIES DITTO IS IN TALKS FOR FASHION RANGE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 4:02 am

British clothing store New Look has denied reports BETH DITTO is in negotiations to design her own outfits for the chain, despite the heavyweight rocker’s claims to the contrary.
The Gossip singer recently revealed she is following in the footsteps of Lily Allen by lining up her own fashion range with New Look.
She said, "I’m in talks to do something with New Look at the moment. I love their stuff." However, a spokesperson for the store says, "It’s definitely not happening.
    It’s a misunderstanding.
"We did send Beth some clothes samples as gifts, as we do many celebs, but we have had no contact with her at all. I think she may have received the clothes and misunderstood."

  • THE VIEW DISMISS MERCURY MUSIC PRIZE NOMINATION

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 4:02 am

Rockers THE VIEW insist they couldn’t care less if they win the 2007 Mercury Music Prize or not, dismissing the honour as "meaningless".
The Scottish band’s Hats Off To The Buskers is among 12 albums nominated for the prestigious U.K. award this year.
But bassist Kieran Webster has little interest in winning the prize.
He says, "It doesn’t really mean anything. The album doesn’t suddenly get any better or worse.
"The real accomplishment is when the fans went out and bought it. People have come up to me in Dundee and said, ‘I heard your album and started a band.’ That’s the really big compliment." Singer Kyle Falconer adds, "I’d never really heard much about it (the Mercury Music Prize) until I found out we’d been nominated." The winner of the 2007 Mercury Music Prize will be announced at a ceremony in London on 4 September (07).

  • BECK DENIES REFORMING THE YARDBIRDS WITH PAGE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 4:02 am

Rocker JEFF BECK has denied reports he and JIMMY PAGE are reuniting legendary 1960s band THE YARDBIRDS for a tour to begin in October (07).
Beck and Page were said to be recruiting bassist Chris Deja and drummer Jim McCarty for the road trip, with former member Eric Clapton refusing to take part.
But Beck’s manager tells website Billboard.com "there is no truth to any of the rumours" regarding the guitar ace’s involvement in a potential reunion.
The Yardbirds had the distinction of seeing three of the most highly-regarded guitarists of a generation - Beck, Page and Clapton - pass through its ranks.
Beck and Page’s presence in the band overlapped for a few months in 1966, a time in Yardbirds history captured by a performance in the classic movie Blow Up.
The Yardbirds split in 1968 and original vocalist Keith Relf died from electrocution in 1976, although Deja and McCarty have been touring under the name since the 1990s.
