Former TV prankster DAX SHEPARD went topless at swanky Malibu, California restaurant Nobu on Saturday night (14Jul07) in a desperate attempt to stop paparazzi getting shots of his date, KATE HUDSON.
The couple was spotted holding hands through dinner, but turned shy as they left the diner, with ex-Punk’d regular-turned-actor Shepard tearing off his shirt to cover actress Hudson.
A bystander says, "It was bizarre. They were holding hands and then suddenly off came his shirt as Dax tried to shroud his date. Maybe she just suddenly decided she didn’t want to be seen with him."
