DION TO OPEN WORLD TOUR WITH FIRST SOUTH AFRICAN DATES
CELINE DION will play her first South African concerts when she tours the world in 2008.
The Canadian singer, who has spent the past three years performing nightly at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, will kickstart her upcoming world tour with a St.
Valentine’s Day (14Feb08) show at the Coca-Cola Dome in Johannesburg.
The corporate gala concert will be followed by shows in Pretoria, Durban and Port Elizabeth, and Dion is also slated to perform at a winery in Somerset West, according to Billboard.com.
The My Heart Will Go On singer’s 100-date world tour will also take her to Belgium, France and Switzerland, with more dates to be confirmed.
Dion’s Las Vegas residency ends on 15 December (07).
