LATEST: The glasses JOHN LENNON wore on a 1966 BEATLES tour of Japan have sparked a bidding frenzy in cyberspace after reaching $1.5 million (£750,000) at auction.
Online auction house 991.com has been inundated with bids from Lennon fans keen to claim the glass-less spectacles, which the late rocker gave to the Fab Four’s translator as a gift.
Until recently, the glasses belonged to an American collector.
