REMY MA ‘THREATENED MAINTENANCE WORKER’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:49 pm

A 40-year-old New Yorker claims trouble rapper REMY MA threatened him with a gun to the head during a 2003 argument.
The hip-hop star, real name Remy Smith, was arrested on Saturday (14Jul07) for the attempted murder of 23-year-old Makeda Barnes-Joseph in New York City’s Meatpacking district. The victim remains in a stable condition in hospital.
Maintenance worker Alvin Lewis tells the New York Post that like Barnes-Joseph, he also found himself at the end of Smith’s gun, but was fortunate enough to escape without being shot.
He claims in May 2003 Smith stormed down to the Buckley private school of boys in Manhattan after a friend’s daughter falsely accused Lewis of hitting her.
Lewis says, "Remy came down and she had a gun and she said, ‘You like hitting women?’ I said, ‘I didn’t hit her.’ "I tried to reason with her and she just pointed the gun at my head and squeezed (the trigger). I just saw my life flash before my eyes. It just went bang. I think it was a starter’s pistol. Trust me, if it was real, I wouldn’t have been here." Following the altercation, Smith was arrested for menacing, assault and criminal possession of a weapon. She pleaded guilty to menacing, before Lewis dropped his complaint after the court determined lack of evidence.
