A Welsh man flew back home from Canada for a friend’s wedding a year early.
Dave Barclay, 34, who now lives in Toronto, travelled to the Welsh capital of Cardiff after he received an e-mail from pal Dave Best inviting him to his nuptials on July 6.
But when he the called the groom-to-be to ask how to get to the wedding venue he was told he had got the wrong year.
The teacher said: "I am a year early. Yeah, my mates are loving it, aren’t they.
"He just said July 6 and I assumed it was this year because if you tell the guy July 6, they’re going to think it’s this year.
"At least it’s assured me a mention in the speech next year."
