GORE AND JONES PERFORMED MUSIC TO GET GIRLS
Former U.S. vice president AL GORE and actor TOMMY LEE JONES tried to seduce women by playing country music - but didn’t have much luck in the romantic stakes.
The pair shared a room at Harvard University in Massachusetts as students, and found a novel way of trying to compete for girls.
But the politician-turned-environmentalist confides they didn’t have the best tactics at getting the girls.
He says, "We both tried to, with variable levels of success. At one point, we became part of a traveling minstrel band to visit girls’ colleges in the Boston area, and perform country music numbers… terribly. "We didn’t have notable success, but I was lucky to meet Tipper, who later became my wife. Tommy and I were at each other’s weddings and remain close friends."
